Parts may have full animation, limited animation, rigging, or tweening, but lip syncing parts must be lip synced.
Plan to show a WIP (work in progress) 1 month after receiving your part, you're more than welcome to change it as you go and/or request an extension. This is mainly just to have something done so you have more time to finish it, or if you have to drop, so backups have enough time to finish it.

Why do you think Mapleshade not looking at her kits is creepy. For me, it shows that she is so caught up in her delusions and ambition; that she don’t realize that her kits are tired and in pain. What do you think?
I cant speak for OP, @jellydappler3081 but Its unsettling because she "cares" so much for her kits and are using them as a excuse for her murders (they are also her kits) but she can't even look at them.

I ADORE how you made Mapleshade almost look like a fox with snakes teeth, it plays really well into her unsettling and animalistic nature throughout the storyboard!!!
The snake teeth seem to foreshadow how Frecklewish died too!

I love the inclusion of Maple digging up Raven’s corpse for the hawk, it’s genuinely one of my favorite moments. It just shows how spiteful Maple is, going out of her way to make sure Raven doesn’t rest peacefully.
Its such a shocking and gross part of the book (compliment), I'm confused why it's not included more often!

I like how Mapleshade almost looks catatonic or in some kind of stupor when she’s crossing the river.
I love love love how you portrayed Mapleshade’s insanity as her life slowly falls apart when she’s exiled! You really captured how unsettling this side of Mapleshade is, and I got chills when the ghosts surrounded her and her kits while she was leading them to their deaths. Just all around a super well done storyboard that sheds light on Mapleshade’s more insane side.

THIS STORYBOARD IS AMAZING!
The first half is so freaking haunting, I love how this depicted Mapleshade as a crazed, and Selfish individual instead of a "sad grieving mom."
It truly shows how far Mapleshade was willing to go to obtain that fantasy of her and Appledusk she had in her head.
It really puts into light how truly far gone Mapleshade was during her exile.
I absolutely love this! A lot of mapleshade fans think she’s innocent, and a lot of maps portray her in the same way. This is much more accurate to the books, especially omen of the stars.
No grief, no sorrow, no shame, no regrets, only selfish bloodshed its whole mapleshade character she's not mommy on grief of her baby's but monster with cold hollow heart. She's wanted everyone suffer does not matter who kit, another mother, warriors. She mentally tortured Crooked, discussed the murder of kittens with Broken, wanting to revel in the suffering of their mothers. Mapleshade is not about fair revenge, she is about a selfish monster who lived among her clanmates for many years until circumstances forced her to show her true face.
This man. Mapleshade was all “those kits were helpless!” But basically called dibs on the nursery for the final battle 😭
I hate when people make out that Mapleshade loves kits and cares for each and every one of them. She was the one who literally MADE the plan to kill the kits in The Great Battle.
Mapleshade almost resembles a snake in some of her movements (intentional or not) it's so cool !!
AAAAA HER EXPRESSIONS!! Gosh this does such a good job of portraying her as someone who’s just completely beyond all reason. She’s lost it, she’s dangerous, and you can see it in her unblinking wide eyes and her sharp uncanny grin. Amazing storyboard
Normally I heave an annoyed sigh at YET another Mapleshade map but this one finally portrays her in such a different light that I LOVE, yes she grieved for her kits but from the very beginning there was something wrong with her? And finally someone included what she did to ravewings grave, he died so young too poor guy. The chills that ran down my spine when she taunted Frecklewish as she was poisoned and the way she posessively grabs appledusk only to stop because she saw reedshine and just started beating her up like??? Oh my god. It definitely made appledusk’s death even more gruesome and heroic, I’m actually excited for a strictly Mapleshade map for once!
As a huge Mapleshade fan, I needed something reminding people she's a crazy zealot who isn't above digging up graves and leaving them for the birds. I could go on about the authors interesting choice in language for her too. I'm just sad I couldn't find good places to include Perchpaw, Nettlepaw, Darkstar, and Myler.

The book is actually written so brilliantly because it tricks you into at first thinking mapleshade is just so misunderstood. But when you re read it and stare closely at details you are in horror at how actually insane she is, from what I recall she killed ravenwing just out of rage and that’s when she saw Larchkit’s “ghost”. This girl is cray cray. Again I really love how you depicted appledusk’s death it’s sooo dark and intense. And I totally get why it was a struggle to try and incorporate those character’s, in the end I’m super stoked to see this done whenever it is!!
She was also on the verge of sleep for at least two of those ghost visions too. But yeah she only targeted people who humiliated her personally. The moral greyness of the characters in question is another discussion, but she was never angry at people more powerful than herself, you know, the people actually responsible haha but thank you, I'm glad I could at least get the point across that Appledusk for all his flaws chose to die to save his mate. @@mightyleafster

this is a really compelling spin on mapleshade’s vengeance! i can almost see this being an in-universe ‘retelling’ of the story of maple’s killings, warped by time and the horror of the situation to portray mapleshade as more of a monster than a real cat
It's a map that's more focused on her zealotry. Everything she does is motivated by her believing Starclan gives her preferential treatment, and an entitlement to Appledusk. Which is in the book 👀
I love how in the final scene you include the kittens' bodies in the group shot of Mapleshade's victims, because she did kill them, even if by accident and willful ignorance.
Overall, I just love how accurately you portrayed Mapleshade. Especially while guiding her kittens across the river, because lets be real, Mapleshade always had the capacity to murder cats, her kittens just gave her a justifiable excuse in her mind.
I can go on and on about Mapleshade but I may end up rereading Mapleshade's Vengeance if I do end up doing that. 😅
Anywho, Very excited for this map! Can't wait to see the finished product.
Applied! This MAP gave me chills. I love how it illustrates maple in such a way where she isn’t in grief like most art/animation stances portrayed her.
She was experiencing grief, deep grief, in the book though.
@@imaginarylivingbody7154I know that, but here after the beginning of the map, we can see how maple is almost in a crazed state. Like she’s enjoying all of the killing, which she is.
@@dawnanimations8010 I head-canon that mapleshade did in fact deeply grieve the loss of her kits but felt so addicted to the feeling of avenging her kits that it was the only thing that mattered to her. In the end her kits deaths slowly faded into the background as her need for vengeance took over her mind and she no longer resembled the cat she once was. Long story short Mapleshade had problems but those problems got the better of her and twisted her into a monster. at least that's how I imagined it. Kinda like someone who was predestined to become a monster.
@@dawnanimations8010 I think it also adds a creepy and eerie undertone to the whole story like the boogeyman bloody Mary or the myth of La Llorona a creepy tale to scare kits into listening to their parents. it fits mapleshade pretty well.

This storyboard is INCREDIBLE! I love how unsettling it is, as the moment that Mapleshade gets exiled, it’s when it feels she starts to set in the realization as the craziness takes over as the storyboard feels like it depicts that she didn’t even realize that her focus on revenge were the cause of her kits’ death and yet, it faltered her as a whole to become this crazy murderer
This storyboard is absolutely beautiful, I genuinely can’t wait to see the parts for it as time passes!!

Amazing storyboard! Details like the dead kits in the background floating while Mapleshade sees her delusions is such an eerie scene.
I also like the VERY good script and directions for the animators. This MAP needs to hit a lot of very eerie notes just right and the direction should handle it.
I like to imagine that maple shade just straight up doesn’t blink the whole time.
Anyways this looks PHENOMINAALLLL already!! I’m so excited!! Love it when Maple is depicted as absolutely batshit INSANE. I’m SO EXCITED!!

I'm so exccited for this MAP; I just love how Mapleshade's madness begins before she even loses her kits, and how she's so struck with insanity that she hardly even notices the wave or her kits drowning. She's so focused on revenge that she isn't thinking of anything else at all (seriously, the wave gave me CHILLS). even if I don't get a part I'm so excited for this!
Although I'm a notorious Mapleshade lover, I still love this M.A.P., Mapleshade's Vengeance is the most complicated story ever, and you can see it any which way, so I love when people get creative with it
The animatic alone would have convinced me, Mapleshade's stunning beauty contrasted with a blank smile is terrifying, along with the suffering of those around her further contrasting it, it really makes me think this is how future ThunderClan and other generations saw her as her legend was spread
Oh I'm a huge Mapleshade fan haha I wanted to touch on a bit more on some of the more messed up stuff she did in the book, and some of her zealotry. They get overlooked so often, and its easily one of the scariest things about her before Crookedkit is a thing. And thank you!

I like this interpretation, where Maple goes mad right when Oak exiles her and her kittens. It explains why she crossed the river without thinking about how dangerous it was.

Ooh I love the connection between the song title and what I presume is the Styx? The styx is the separation between living and the underworld. Usually Charon is the one who ferries the dead souls across - but that would imply the kits were dead before she crossed, thus being more of a hallucination.
@immortes It's a fun comparison! Rivers have a lot of connection with the dead. But no they were alive, she's not hallucinating, she just has a very warped perception of reality. She only looks at her kittens after they're dead because none of her choices had them in mind until they were dead. When they were dead, they appealed to her unhinged fundamentalism.

Eagerly applied! The overall cinematography in this animatic is breathtaking. The way some of the shots are positioned/framed really emphasize feeling in each shot. Plus all of the creative storytelling that is used to convey the plot is astounding!! I would love to be a part of such a wonderful project!
