FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP 1 by Malyn Tiu CFC HOLD CEBU CENTRAL SECTOR

Financial Stewardship-1 is a most important pastoral tool in teaching our members about tithing and financial support for the work of spreading God’s Word. It should be given one (1) month from the Handmaid’s Covenant Orientation Retreat. It is recommended that the FS-1 be given in lieu of the regular household meetings for that particular week.
FS-1 for HOLD is a talk / workshop format with the theme: ‘TAKING
RESPONSIBILITY FOR GOD’S WORK THROUGH OUR FINANCES’. It is hoped
that through teaching and interaction, the participants will come to a fuller understanding of the need for the Handmaid to take this responsibility for God’s work on earth, particularly in the work of CFC-HOLD, through her consistent financial support.
The talk, workshop, presentations and open-forum are all aimed at gently encouraging our members to better see and appreciate the correct place of money in their lives and in the work. FS-1 also informs the participants of the need of the CFC-HOLD community for financial resources to accomplish its mission and vision. FS-1 intends to encourage the participants to make a monthly pledge of support with a peso value. It may be a tithe or less, but every amount, no matter how small, counts. Taking responsibility for God’s
work through our finances to the extent we are able to, is a necessary step in our growth in holiness.
Objectives:
1. To make the participants aware of principles of Christian stewardship and bring about the realization that she needs to live out the Christian teachings in area of finance.
2. To make the participants aware of the CFC-HOLD’s work of global
evangelization and the need to support this financially
3. To make all participants start the practice of making regular monthly tithes / contributions to CFC-HOLD
