Kayembe is such a treat to watch. He seems more relaxed around Jameela now that he has been allowed to interact with her a little bit. Freddy is such a wise mother and very patient with his antics. He reminds me of a toddler just buzzing about with so much energy.
Every time I see this troop I am fascinated by the maternal instincts of Freddy. Its so natural for her and Jameela you would never know she was a foster unless you were told. Beautiful and amazing to watch develop and grow!
There is definitely something really special about Freddie ❤. When I saw her K and J sitting together, it brought tears to my eyes. Her maternal instincts are so strong. I think what got me was that it's so natural, pure, and innocent ❤. Just her and her babies 🥰❤🦍
Such a beautiful gorilla family! Jameela is thriving under Freddy's care. Kayembe is a true toddler. And today, I cheered on Kunda for her dash at independence. Looking forward to her upcoming birthday.
So glad to see Kunda pottering around on her own. She is a sweet gorilla girl. Kebi was fantastic with her as an infant while Kayembe was at his most rambunctious.
I know that humans are more closely related to chimpanzees but I find the gorillas much more appealing. And, oh, those adorable baby hands….the way they hold on to mama’s fur!! Precious!!!
Me too! I'm not very fond of male chimpanzees. They may be too much like us! (All the violence). I went to the zoo in Portland and an old male chimpanzee from across the yard gave me such a chilling/hateful stare that I ran to the penguin exhibit to recover! Never went back!
Oh Larry, always such a privilege to watch your vids-THANK YOU! We all need this JOY right now. Freddy is just a miracle, her motherly wisdom, her unusual beauty, her fierce willingness and ability at her age to nurture two youngsters. Precious little Jameela has mastered ripping the leaves from the branch, if not eating them yet, and she’s itching to get into that swinging bowl! Our good boy Kayembe is ever impressive, as are the trainers in calming him (thanks for the link to his progress). And the new camera’s a dandy! Be well! 🥰🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍

Hello 👋 Beautiful Mother Freddy and Baby Jameel ❤. Freddy you are a Angel 😇 you take care of these sweet and precious babies without even thinking about it. You know they need a Mother to love 😍 and teach them and protect them as they grow ❤. Freddy you are the best Mother ever you are a Sweetheart ❤ LOVE 😍 ALWAYS TO YOU and All Your Beautiful Baby's ❤. God Bless You All. 🙏🏻🕊❤️
I remember when the zoo workers were feeding Jameela and in hopes Freddie would bond with her through the glass Be nice to see again how Freddie will be watching her through the glass and then when they finally were introduced to where Freddie could hold Jamila it be nice to have a little blast from the past❤❤.
I absolutely adore this inter family unit of Fredd, Kayembe and Jameela, at the start it just looked like a family picnic with Little K sat nicely (still for a change 😂) I also notice compared to how little K was carried, Jameela likes to be right up there close to Freddie’s head, in on all the goings on, she’s a little fire cracker for sure and think she’s going to enjoy ruff and tumbles with her brother when she’s a little bigger, can’t wait as they are super close already. Thanks Larry for you’re efforts bringing us this wonderful content, we appreciate you 🙏🏼
I find myself getting rather tearful when I watch this beautiful troop. If ever there was proof you don't need to give birth to be a mother Freddie is it. From that heart-stopping moment Jameela was left in the enclosure and Freddie just snatched her up and held her close, "you're mine", she has been a loving mother.
That portrait of Jameela up close at 4:50. ❤🌿 Kayembe needs his own theme song, at this point. Hope that everyone at the Zoo had a good 4th. The booms must've scared the gang.❤ (Funny ~ I love critters too much to ever want to hear a single firework. ) 🎉😂
First off, your camera ROCKS! You bring the best live videos we could ask for! Freddie was born to be everyone’s mom! She doesn’t hesitate to step in to support her troop! I love to watch how confident Freddie is when handling Jameela! Thanks for the finishing touch of this awesome music!
It always melt my heart seeing intimate scenes of Freddie and her two precious ones😍🥰and our boy always makes me laugh and brightens up my day😅👏🤗I am so proud of our sweet little girl Kunda getting more independent😍🥰they are all doing and looking great👍🥰 Beautful footage Larry!👏👍🥰❤️🌻🌞
As always, another great video, excellent quality. The babies are growing quickly, I can't believe Kayembe is over 2 1/2 already, seems only a few months ago he was a wee baby himself!! How time flies. Kunda will be a year old in just a couple of weeks hard to believe. Thanks again Larry for all you do for us, it is much appreciated! Take Care, Stay Safe, Be Well, Mac
Jameela learning as quickly as Kayembe did, they’ve got an amazing teacher in their sweet and socially savvy Mama. So cute and that picture of Kayembe at the end about not tapping on the glass is where you can see that Kay and Kunda are siblings. It’s their eyes around their cheeks and their mouths. They have their different MaMa’s nose’s but Mokolo’s genetics are obvious as well. Wonderful content as always that so appreciated Larry. 🦍♥️🙏🏼♥️🙏🏽♥️🦍

Kunda darf schon allein umher laufen. 🌞

Larry, do you think that N’neka knows Kayembe is her son? Thank you for this great video.
Well, I think she knows she gave birth to him. She was just not sure what to do with him, or how she should treat a baby. Sad.
@@larrysanimalsafari yes, him coming early likely didn’t get those maternal hormones going full force yet. ❤️
Jameela was 2 months early. Do gorilla preemies have an adjusted age like human babies do?
Well…. Both Kayembe and Jameela were 6 weeks premature. Both were started on formula since they were not being nursed by a gorilla until 12-15 weeks of age. I don’t know if those two can be put in that category - since that formula diet seems to have given them a boost.
