I had one of these! I was so scared. My husband and I had tried for eleven years, just sold our house to fund a round of IVF, and had finally gotten a positive pregnancy test. When that blood came, I just knew it was the worst case scenario. The ER doctor came in, told us there was a heartbeat, told me to stay on bedrest until I was cleared by my OB, and I went on to carry our daughter to term. She’s almost 5 months old now and is the light of our lives ❤ She’s the happiest, smartest, sweetest little angel we could’ve asked for.

I had this with my son. It was scary and I felt like I almost lost him. God proved to be faithful and merciful . It resolved on its own after many months of bed rest. We named him Emmanuel and he is a constant reminder of the meaning his name holds. He is now 9 years old and Just got his first black belt yesterday 😢😊

This happened to me hours before my first OB appointment I bled bright blood and I was so scared because I had a history of 2 miscarriages history of incompetent cervix and was going to get a preventative cerclage if that pregnancy was successful. I was panicking "here I go lose my baby AGAIN". I was put on rest and I bled a bit more then it resolved. I'm so happy now holding my 6 weeks old baby girl. 😊

I had this with my 3rd and it was terrifying. I went to the ER and they handled me with so much care and reassured me it was this and that baby was completely fine. Prior to this though I had no idea it was even a thing and thought I was miscarrying. Baby is now 3 years old and WAY too active 😂

lucky I had totally opposite experience where doctor said they needed vaginal exam and she will pull it if she seees anything. I was shocked how casual she was about it and refused to let her near me... no assurance nothing, glad they told me the diagnosis and that baby was fine.. thank God there is internet where I got more info than from the ER...

I wish my fertility clinic had told me ahead of time that SCHs are more common with IVF. I had bleeding and cramping and couldn't get into my fertility clinic for more than 24 hours. I couldn't wait that long to find out if I was having a miscarriage so I went to the ER where they were able to confirm I wasn't having a miscarriage. The next day I still went to my appointment at the fertility clinic and the nurse doing my ultrasound said SCHs are so common with IVF patients that she probably does multiple ultrasounds a day to confirm them for patients! That would have been nice to know before so that I wasn't so panicked that I was having a miscarriage.
Everything did turn out ok and my beautiful baby girl is 14 months old now

I’m 9 weeks 6 days. I was woken up at 4am to clear fluid & blood running down my pjs. My boyfriend rushed me to the ER & they did an ultrasound. Told me it was a SCH - the bleeding / fluid leak stopped at 8am. And now it’s just brown discharge.
Ultra sound showed baby moving & heart rate at 147. 🥺 scariest moment of my life, I thought I miscarried.

I am 13 weeks along right now as a surrogate and they found my SCH on the first ultrasound. It had been stable home and has grown a very little so I am still on pelvic rest and lifting restrictions. I am having it checked monthly.
I also will add, but I have had no symptoms no bleeding, which I am very grateful for but I’m still kind of an easy daily.

I’ve had a SCH three times. First time I didn’t have any spotting. I learned about it at the first ultrasound. No issues. The second time, I had one episode of spotting, called the office right away, went in and they told me that’s what it was. No issues. The third time….I started spotting at 6 weeks, went in, found out that’s what it was. I continued to spot for 2.5 weeks. I had several ultrasounds, and each time there was a heartbeat, until I was almost 9 weeks and that’s when they told me there was no heartbeat. It was devastating! I had a D&C four days later.

I had one in my second trimester and the OB resident on call was so awful. He told me that my baby was much more likely to die now at any moment, even when giving birth. And even though other doctors have told me my baby is ok, I’ve been kind of traumatized by that. It was terrifying.

I woke up to a ton of blood and was so scared, ER doctor said it “could be” this but he was not sure. According to the dr there is nothing to do but wish i wouldve gone on bed rest, large blood clots were coming out of me it was so scary

I believe I am experiencing this now it’s sorted at 15 weeks and I’m approaching 17 weeks and a couple days. The only thing that makes me unsure is the fact that my doctor were not able to locate it on an ultrasound.so they said they can’t say what it is but that it could be this. Trying to stay positive and keep faith knowing baby’s looking great and everything else is as well.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and had some blood in my urine this afternoon. I had an appointment for ultrasound scheduled already for this afternoon, but of course, I was terrified. It was kind of a light bleeding, no clots, and stopped almost instantly. And my baby was doing good, moving and its heart was pounding. I was crying with joy when I heart it. The doc found a 6 mm "something" on my cervix which he thinks is a haematoma. I was put on bed rest and progesterone, just to be on the safe side. But I'm very shaken and afraid and this fear really ruins the happiness I had :(

I had SCH in 3 of my 4 IVF pregnancies. I lost two of those pregnancies at 7 and 9 weeks. One pregnancy with the SCH made it to term. All were large SCH. My 4th pregnancy my IVF doctor did a “natural” cycle and no SCH!

I had anterior and only felt 3 big kicks the whole pregnancy! I was in the hospital all the time in the third trimester crying my eyes out because I couldn't feel any kicks during the kick count (or any other time, unless he was really flipping) they'd always say "omg you don't feel that! He's moving non stop!" 😂 like..... OBVIOUSLY NO

I was told i had a SCH at 6 weeks and my doctor never mention it to me again after that day i'm 21 weeks now and i didn't know exactly what a SCH was only that it was just a small blood clot and it wasn't anything to worry about. lol

in my country, the doctor usually gives progesterone for those bleedings. So it is not true that nothing can be done

I have a small sub chorionic hematoma it’s about 2cm x 3cm this is my third and final baby and I’m a little terrified. I haven’t bled and it’s small so my OB said it’s nothing to worry about. He still put me on pelvic rest and light activity to avoid it getting bigger. I’m patiently waiting for my next ultrasound and hopefully it decreased or went away completely. 🤞🏽

This happened to me. I didn't have bleeding. Just the hematoma on the 8 week scan. The doctor barely mentioned it, told me it was nothing to worry about (I guess because there's nothing you can do). It ended in miscarriage. I'm pregnant again, and again, I have a hematoma. It's 25%. There's nothing I can do but wait. I do wish someone would give me the statistics. I want to know what the odds are.

I lost my baby at 19 weeks pregnant from a SCH. Don’t let providers gaslight you and request MFM, make them write a formal letter if they deny the referral.

Are you always able to see them on the scan? This has happened to me three times already and at the er they cant see the source of the bleeding and “think “ it may be a hematoma.. its very stressful not knowing exactly what it is

At 3weeks i had an abortion with 4 mifeprostol tablets in the mouth and 2 misoprostol inserted in the vagina, as prescribed by the nurse. I bled one full pad and the rest of the days i only had some clots, very small like for about 3 days.
After 4 weeks i went for an ultra sound and it confirmed that am 7weeks pregnant. I am wondering what blood was i shedding, and what is state of the baby if i am to keep the pregnancy.
The cardiac activity is 133BPM, the CRL is 0.95cm.. Is there a possibility that the baby will have no abnormalities. Please help me explain the situation

I think I had a small one. The day I found out I was pregnant, I went to the bathroom and had a burst of red blood. I thought I was for sure having a miscarriage. But it quickly faded to brown and stopped all together within a day. Very scary!

I had that with my second pregnancy. It looked like an unhealthy amount of blood. So scary… Baby was fine! 🩵
Then I had it again with a fourth pregnancy, but that one ended up in a miscarriage, which is funny because the spotting was minimal this second time. 🤔
In all of those, I had to go to the ER to get my RhoGAM shot.
(When I tell people I lost count of how many RhoGAM shot’s I’ve had, they don’t believe me. Lol)
