It's really heartbreaking because the split happened because of disagreements with the company, not because the members wanted to split up.

TVXQ, also known as Dong Bang Shin Ki which is their korean name, are one of the biggest groups ever formed in Kpop They debuted in 2003 with their song HUG. The three members in the video filed a lawsuit against their company in 2009 because they weren't treated well and after they won, the company banned them from Korea and TV-shows. Because they're such a powerful company a lot of the tv channels went along with it so JYJ had no other choice than to perform in Japan (they also went to America). Until today they're still a very popular and well respected group and they still consider themselves part of TVXQ (which was originally a five membered group until the three left). One of the main things they were well known for is their incredible live performances and accapella. In my opinion there still hasn't been anyone else out there that can quite top it off like JYJ/TVXQ did. A lot of fans still remain hope they'll come back as five one day.

JYJ is a Korean band, they used to be a part of TVXQ but left the group and formed this one, but they're very active in Japan which is why they sing in Japanese too. I like their song Get Out but I honestly prefer them live, it sounds almost the same as a studio recording but with much more passion.

I also used to and still usually prefer studio versions of songs but JYJ and DB5K are my exception to this because in many cases you can actually hear certain parts better and clearer than their studio versions. There were words "sayonara janai wa" means it's not goodbye and when the black hair guy before shouted "we love you both" so basically this song is about their separation with their 2 former members since W is the symbol of Cassiopeia (DBSK's fandom) which means 5 constellation of the stars. Bet you cannot find another jpop like that. Try to listen another strong performance by them like BOY'S LETER its a ballad but a strong one.
I actually really like this song, the song & lyrics.... But at the same time I dont want to play this song again, bcoz this song has deep meaning & always makes me cry.... In my opinion, for DB5K/JYJ/TVXQ, there's no difference between live performances or studio version ones because they sound the same. The only difference are the fans' chants/cheers and song arrangement. That's how good they are.
TVXQ before this three left is still my favorite kpop group and this song JYJ made for the members they left behind is the most amazing song ever, you should look for the lyrics. Really touching. Always crying with that video.. You should look for some songs from TVXQ when they were still together, i recommend you MIROTIC. And if you want to see more from JYJ you can look for Back Seat, totally different style and feeling but with JYJ, especially Junsu, voices are always on point! If you like their sound, you should try to react to DBSK/TVXQ/Tohoshinki (their name just varies in different countries) when they sang as five. It created even more beautiful harmony with 5 voices.
