All difference - 1 - bluetooth for receiving sound(calls). Put some music on stream etc. 2 - extra xlr with separated phantom power 😮 I wonder if it has NoiseGate?
So your videos have helped me figure out what I need to do to use my studio monitors for listening to music and anything coming from the computer. I had settled on the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and then I saw this video. I'm interested in recording videos in the future and I like the simplicity of this version and adding the option for Bluetooth makes it pretty appealing. If I use this for monitors am I losing anything? Will the quality be the same using the Vocaster 2 vs the Scarlett 2i2? Just weighing my options. Also what are the best current TRS cables to use, I want to do the red and black like you do for order. The link to Amazon says no longer available. Thanks for the great videos they are super helpful.
Hi Kettner, thank you so much for sharing, Im so glad I found your channel, I bought the Rode White PodMic and the White PSA1+... for me I also would like to use this for meeting like MS Teams and WebEx meetings... would I still need an audio interface or just the Quad XLRM to XLRF Microphone Cable.... Thank you so much🔥🔥
Only $149.99 for the vocaster 2? Wow. That's a great piece of equipment for the price. It looks like a good entry level or mid level item for ones wanting to start a podcast.
Hello Kettner, My remote podcast friend has this one. We use Riverside fm, and our next challenge Is buying a webcam. The laptop feels old/untrustworthy, so before buying a lot of equipment, do you recommend a webcam that connects directly to Vocaster one? With the goal of working as a continuity webcam In Riverside fm. I haven’t seen you talking that much about streaming cameras (perhaps I need to search more on your channel). We are searching for a Riverside fm camera that doesn’t require laptop usb ports, power cables and so on…
This or el gato wave xlr? I'm really wondering which software is better as both should power the SM7B fine correct? Or do you still suggest something to boost the signal?
No you can take a phone call useing trrs cable it need to be the 3.5 cable with three rings. ...... Bluetooth is more convenient because new phones get rid off 3.5 headphone jack
You have got to fix that hiss man. It's so distracting in your videos. I love the content you provide, but for all these audio based videos you gotta fix that issue.

I bought the vocaster two twice. For €69 each. Great value. Better than scarlet.

Both work great with the SM7B. Aside from that, it depends if you're already in the Elgato family, or what software you prefer.
