Does this device "train" your vagus nerve? How long do the effects last? Or is the benefit in getting heart variability for small increments at a time? Thanks again!
At the moment no clue. Longer term studies are always in short supply and I have not see any yet in my studies. My approach to this is more like the vagus nerve constantly fluctuates in its sensitivity to the environment due to how we influence it on a daily basis. To answer your question we would have to know how overarching is the vagus nerve in generating the symptoms? My current way of thinking suspects that perhaps it could have a big role in affecting numerous systems simultaneously. So improving its function my help with symptoms but that might not remove the source of what could be destabilizing the nerve sensitivity.
Hello Dr. Rasziak. I have the Nurosym for a week now. I feel it is doing something positive. Instructions are lacking, however. ie: what are the indicators that indicate that the device is fully charged? I have tried communicating on line to no satisfaction.
When you first turn on the device, number of whit lights show up right under the time/power indicator. I believe there is 5 of them if the device is fully charged. My device has been lasting very long time from a single charge. Please let me know what you think it helped you with vs not. That is valuable info to get such testimonials and you can email me if you prefer!

Question. I have a ring that measures my HRV. Have you heard of any studies on HRV variation? So for example, is there a difference between an HRV that varies between 35-45 ms over an 8 hour period vs an HRV that varies 35 ms - 80 ms over an 8 hour period? The latter would seem to be better but I can't find any evidence of that.
Well, I explain this concept to a degree in this video. There are different frequencies at which heart rates can be measured and they can tell different biological information about a person. The frequencies you are talking about, is that data acquisition? Because if it is data capture, then shorter time intervals could be better I would assume as that would allow to capture greater nuances of biological input but really, best is to contact your device manufacturer
haha, yes, I see nerves as chords or wires running through the buddy, but I guess the puppet master is ultimately the brain? Tough to know what runs the show as I could see that microbiome could manipulate the brain
@@Merogenomics The vagus nerve is a mixed nerve composed of 20% “efferent” fibers (sending signals from the brain to the body) and 80% “afferent” (sensory) fibers (carrying information from the body to the brain). The body is doing a lot more talking than the brain is. Edited to add: the enteric nervous system is downstream autonomic and definitely relates to the gut. Alan Watts has this beautiful lecture about the nervous system, bringing awareness to the heart that is beating, the automatic impulses in the autonomic nervous system- then he asks where does that energy come from? Science rejects religion. Religion rejects science. Does anyone benefit from such cut off mentalities?
@JaspyBear , considering our skin is a blanket of vessels and there's iron and other elements in the bloodstream, then our skin is like an iron shield as a collective working like an electrical fence barrier for the autonomic system , inhibiting division or the presentation of receptors on a cells surface

@@Merogenomics No worries. You're English is better than mine and I only speak one language. Cool video BTW! It got me thinking outside the box and I found some interesting studies online suggesting that people on the autism spectrum are more likely to have NO heart rate variability. Also some heart patents that take heart rhythm drugs like digoxin and atenanol end up having increased anxiety as a side effect. It begs the question do certain heart drugs reduce or make absent the heart rate variability thus changing their mood. Just thinking out loud throwing some hypothetical questions out there. I wonder what affect, if any the gateway process could have on the vagus nerve. Yes I realize this is considered pseudo science but both the Monroe institute and Jose Silva have garnered budget for study in three letter agencies and hemi-sync is a legit neuromodulation. @@Merogenomics In short it is brainwave entrainment using sound to synchronize both hemispheres of the brain. There is a document released to the public titled "Gateway Analysis" from the Department of the Army which outlines the process. The Silva Method has also made it's way into programs kept secret from the public for the same reasons, yet split-brain experiments seem to prove there is something to these methods for various uses.
Dr. Raszek. I apologise.
😂😂 you must be desperate spennding on this gimmick
When you first turn on the device, number of whit lights show up right under the time/power indicator. I believe there is 5 of them if the device is fully charged. My device has been lasting very long time from a single charge. Please let me know what you think it helped you with vs not. That is valuable info to get such testimonials and you can email me if you prefer!
I recently has what I thought was cardiac or thymus issues..
the pressure was equivalent to cat on my chest , pain radiating up my right side to jaw.
Ruled out cardiac
However, had irregular EKG, now having high blood pressure, and autoimmune (rheumatoid) arthritis.

What has happened to info on Johnson and Johnson shots AND anything from China and their results ti their vaccines?
It could be affected vagus nerve and perhaps you should mention that to your acupuncture person. They might be able to target it for you. As for the other vaccines, indeed I know little about them. When it came to vaccine wars to corner the market, mRNA products clearly won the battle
China did not use MRNA vaccines. Very strange
Nerves are chords combined with a puppet master
haha, yes, I see nerves as chords or wires running through the buddy, but I guess the puppet master is ultimately the brain?
@@SideB1984 check out my next video on the vagus nerve where I will be talking about the anatomy of the vagus nerve and discuss in detail the efferent and afferent nerves

If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Then you arrive at substance or bundle theory…the possibility of unperceived existence
Polar m460 device coupled with their heart sensor has an orthostatic test feature to show if one's heart has recovered after exercise. This test is based on heart rate variability measured in laying and standing positions. Not sure if it would be a good idea to mess up with natural recovery by manipulating the vagus nerve.
Electrocardiogram NOT echocardiogram. Echo is ultrasound of the heart. Electro is the EKG or ECG
OMG, right! Need to put that as a correction!
@@Merogenomics No worries. You're English is better than mine and I only speak one language. Cool video BTW! It got me thinking outside the box and I found some interesting studies online suggesting that people on the autism spectrum are more likely to have NO heart rate variability. Some believe this contributes to their heightened reaction to outside stimulus. Love your videos and your shared research. Have a good one!
Is the device for nonsmokers only, Doc ?
Interesting point. I never saw such restriction mentioned by the company. In the study discussed in this video, they requested participants not to smoke in order not to influence the heart rate variability in order to get accurate results. That was independent of the device use
How do I get a Nurosym in the U.S.?
Right now you can't, sadly. One cool trick people are doing is to ship it to other countries they are visiting but unfortunately it is a hassle for now
Isn’t acupuncture focussed on the vagus nerve?
Well, it can't be just the vagus, I think they use needles in areas that are not innervated by the vaugs, but I wonder how often it is the target?
that 's a PESF treatment...in home..... if I understand. But 😃 i'm suggestible,
if I put my cell phone in my shirt poket..... i feel weird things in my heart...I must put away
I was wondering if you could do separate videos for your vagus nerve stimulus product and then another for your General Medical that way you could continue with educating us on broader topics
😂😂😂
Hello Doc
I keep asking Miko, can we have any outcomes of people with an SVT.
Can't speak specifically for this device as I have not seen the science but apparently improving vagal tone has been shown to help with it
I have SVT and track HRV on Apple Watch. Just recovered from myocarditis, former gymnast turned Ironman athlete. HRV mid 60s at end of athletic career, progressive degenerative orthopedic disability after post viral dengue infection 10 yrs ago. In the setting of hypermobility. HRV dipped to low 40s with vax injury. Back to high 40s. Vo2 max dropped 10 whopping points during vax injury. Still have PVCs, SVT, IST, post viral POTS (Orthostatic Hypo). Lucky to have survived 2x TIAs post Pfizer with myocardial LGE enhancement on cMRI, turned 40 yesterday 😅
@@SideB1984 Fuggin hell mate! You have been through the ringer with this thing!. I take it you regret having the gmo? All the best and I hope you heal soon. 4 day fast with water will help. Maybe a month of NAC afterwards.
Are you on b blocks, propranolol etc?
@@petemccalam5727 yesss, I sure have, and I do regret it. I did a lot of wonderful therapeutic intervention with naturopath, cMRI is cleared up 2 yrs later, just electrical residual. Some neuropathy, peripheral and axonal unfortunately. Yep, propanolol and actually adrenals/hypothalamus damage too, so found that hydrocortisone with b blockers was magic combo. Feeling like there’s a reason I survived this. 😌

I wonder what affect, if any the gateway process could have on the vagus nerve. Yes I realize this is considered pseudo science but both the Monroe institute and Jose Silva have garnered budget for study in three letter agencies and hemi-sync is a legit neuromodulation. I.e. split brain experiments.
sorry, don't know what gateway process is, can you elaborate? Just curious what dots you might be connecting ;)
@@Merogenomics In short it is brainwave entrainment using sound to synchronize both hemispheres of the brain. The gateway process itself gets well off the mainstream science and into the realm of conspiracy except for the fact it was kept secret by the CIA. There is a document released to the public titled "Gateway Analysis" from the Department of the Army which outlines the process. The Silva Method has also made it's way into programs kept secret from the public for the same reasons, yet split-brain experiments seem to prove there is something to these methods for various uses. Do they cure anything? Doubtful, maybe relief from tinnitus or anxiety but I suspect they can stimulate the vagus nerve.
@mergonomics I was born without a Spleen. I'm 64 yrs old. Vaxxed w Moderna 1st 2 jabs, no boosters. Still a covid virgin. Should I be concerned?
Do pierced ears do anything?
I don't know if piercing the tragus portion of your ear affect the vaugs or not but definitely the device instructions mention that such piercing should be removed prior to device use
