Very difficult song to interpret. Only gifted artist in the calibre of Kuh can give Justice to this vocally challenging song with her vocal prowess. A mere singer won’t give Justice to this very difficult song. The emotion she bestowed white interpreting this song was mind boggling. I was actually holding my breath, the IST time I listened to this number, waiting where Kuh’s superb Voice will falter even for a second. IT was a PERFECT 10.
These were one-offs, not included in any Kuh albums. One has to buy the "single" 45 rpm. I remember "Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa". It won several awards as Best Movie Theme Song. Kuh was guesting on every TV show back then with this song. "Nagbabagang Luha" followed shortly after. Why is there a background weeping sound?!? I completely missed "Babaeng Hampaslupa", as I had already left the country.I don't think anyone can top Kuh's Tagalog movie theme interpretations. Her version of "Langis at Tubig" is even better than Sharon's. If only Kuh can sing that way again, she should record all of these in a nice New album.
Grace Cheng thanks for your comment. the first song came from an audio cassette tape. the last 2 songs i have to download.an mp3 from the movie since no mp3 availble. sayang thr 3 songs was not jncluded in any of the Best Of Kuh
Just curious..which KUH album did this song come from? Pinulot ka lang sa Lupa.. Amazing song ..amazing melody and arrangement No one revive it yet, I am guessing..
Thank you.. I have embraced Pinoy 80s movie theme song music..and mostly have “ingenious” compositions /arrangements..These songs exemplified talaga. Bravo Kuh.
