I support KUH's stand on regulating foreign concerts on Valentine season. I admire KUHs courage to STAND UP and SPEAK in support for the Filipino Artists and for her love for Filipino music.
the foreign acts will not be too interested in fighting to keep in the philippine scene. it's just too small. so you may just get what you want. the caution is on you to be careful what u wish for...and all that.
think of the tourism it will bring & how increased tourism will benefit all your other kababayans in terms of increased business opportunities. baka dyan pa nga yumaman ang pinas. kung ako yan i will not restrict the foreign acts & instead market the phils as the music capital to the neighboring countries. old school na ang pag iisip na yan, global arena na po tayo ngayon. isang industriya lang ba ang dapat isiping makinabang when theres a possibility the whole country could benefit?
kuhng akuh c kuh akuh pa ang mangungunang mag welkuhming kuhmittee sa mga foreign acts. in that way u can orchestrate how they can partner up with the local industry. if this happens i can see phils as being the music capital of the world. this regulation thing will never have a good effect internationally. why not see it as a launching pad for international careers? u guyz r fighting over the smallest piece of pie.
