Every movie/ the tv show is owned by some other big studio, fact they even got all the license at once was crazy cause the tv show didn't have licensing for the Army of darkness movie lore, hence is why he is always called EL Jefe or whatever. Last time I played we were dominating the match until the end when the demon would possess a single basic and proceed to take no damage while attacking the book. He killed the book with two basic spawns lol

They just do what their paid to do then leave they NEVER gave a shit about communities respect, or feedback. Those patch notes for this game were serious dogshit... Every month they either nerfed/buffed dumbshit just to revert it the next month. To this day hag is still over powered as fuck and Eli/Henrietta are totally useless.

this game needed 2 very important features: 1) solo progression (I don't play online much at all but I still want a reason to keep playing the game, plus this game is not very new player friendly, throwing level 1 players in with fully upgraded players making them a hindrance to their team), 2) vs. AI demon for private matches (I wanted to play with my friend and teach him the ropes but you can't do that in a regular match, and private is set up so that one player has to be the demon despite regular MP having the option to play against an AI demon).

I got this game for free on Epic Games! I used to play Support Ash, he was really helpful keeping fear levels down. As a longtime Evil Dead fan, I wish this game got more attention. I think other gamemodes, unlockable skins, and more updates would’ve made this game last longer

I never understood why a game is declared dead just because it stops receiving new content. For me, as long as the servers are running, a game is far from dying. But just explain to me, what else were they supposed to add? Every character that ever appeared in the Evil Dead series? Every game mode ever invented in history? Or were they supposed to do what Dead By Daylight does and become a crossover? This argument makes no sense to me. They clearly couldn't keep updating the game forever, in fact I think it's quite obnoxious if an online game just keeps going on forever (I'm looking at you, Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time). If anything, it was the playerbase that abandoned the game, not the devs, just because they didn't get to play as Satan or whatever. I love Evil Dead: The Game. It is my favourite asymmetrical horror game period, and it pains me to see that it's getting harder and harder to get a match because the game is dead because people said so. It's like saying if a game doesn't go on forever it's not fun.
I used to play the game religiously. I stopped playing earlier this year because the biggest problem plaguing the game today IMO is AFK demon players. I've been in countless matches where the demon player just sits there the entire time not leveling up except when the match progresses on its own. You don't see them the entire match, they don't possess anything or spawn enemies, and it's painfully obvious they're AFK and just farming XP. That's what ultimately ruined the game for me. And of course the devs never implemented any countermeasures against AFK players before they abandoned the game, so naturally demon players can just search for a match and kick back while the survivors either finish the match or quit. Ridiculous. You're better off playing against an AI demon. At the very least they should have put in an AFK timer that boots the demon after 2-3 minutes of inactivity and replaces them with AI instead. Sadly that'll never happen at this point and the game will slowly lose players to grievances like this until they pull the plug on its servers. Such a shame.

this being an epic exclusive is what killed it. started with a low player base because of that and by the time it came to steam it was DOA. sad but thats what happens when u sell your soul to epic. every epic exclusive has suffered, but the devs get their bag from epic, and money is all devs care about now

I came back to this YESTERDAY! tried to find a game for 20 mins as killer and just no luck so gave up

this being an epic exclusive is what killed it. started with a low player base because of that and by the time it came to steam it was DOA. sad but thats what happens when u sell your soul to epic. every epic exclusive has suffered, but the devs get their bag from epic, and money is all devs care about now
