Hi. i have same tv with the same issue, however i've try the same method with no success. i even resolder all trace with new solder. i didn't remove the chip or replaced it. I don't want to replace it yet until i know 100% sure its the actual chip issue. how can i test if the chip died? can another component cause the chip to died or like you said maybe heat wear and tear cause the issue ? I have a similar problem, but my TV works fine with laptops, just "no signal" when I connect it to my desktop PC via the exact same cable. Very frustrating. The monitor of that PC works fine, but I need the TV to work.

Had this problem fixed it once and it failed again. on my second attempt to fix it i could not turn the tv on again and red light is flickering i dont get whats wrong now. What am i doing wrong???
So my problem is that my laptop is connected to my LG TV via a HDMI cable and it says there's no signal but when I plug in my DVD player to the TV it all comes up fine so I don't think it's a hardware issue. Any ideas?

Right where you were pointing My HDMI plug is lose ,how do I tighten it without changing the whole board ?

Just bought an LG today at Costco. HDMI 3 isn’t recognizing the game console. Returning it. Not taking it spart
