Paul is a scientist and Zack is a lawyer. Well educated professionals that take their craft seriously. Ashley, Micah has an issue cause she has moments when she could do the right thing and seem like a nice genuine person but she surrounds herself with trash friends (Irina, Girls insulting Paul) and then her demeanor changes to being a mean girl and not a stand-up person. Paul did the right thing by taking a jab back at them. And he's right. Why should he care about her friends opinions? He just wants to be happy.

There's no way jackie's man issues don't come from her father. A father is the first man in a woman's life who loves her. But Bliss is the one with a big heart that Irina was faking. Bliss’s character type was was his first choice but he didn’t know Irina was acting.

She was obviously not into the show - she probably gave up in the resort stage, but as one couple had already given up, the producers had to figure out how to carry out episodes without the couples who were supposed to be together. So, I´m guessing they encouraged her to give it a try and spend some time with Marshall in that condo to see if things would improve... She probably accept it with the condition that she would not expose family and friends etc...
