- Periodic Table Basics Learn how to use information from the periodic table to find the number of protons, neutrons, and electrons of an element. The atomic number tells you the number of protons. The electrons can be found using the atomic number minus the charge and the atomic mass can be used to find the neutrons.

I missed a month of school and I came back I had a test on this the exact next day. You saved my life. Honestly these kind of UA-camrs teach me more in a few minutes then my teachers do in an entire class.
When you are actually being taught way more things (and in a better explanation/visuals) on UA-cam than your school:

You aren’t paying attention in school but you are here, that’s the difference
@@williamjohnston9628 It's been 3 years since I made this comment. Times have changed. Three years ago we were in a pandemic and everything was online, which only made it worse. My teacher taught me in ways which honestly didn't make much sense to me at the time. So no, no difference. :)
Thank you making this video savable. I am a mom who makes playlists for my homeschool. Often I cannot save a video because it is set for kids. I have a difficult time finding videos that are age appropriate and can be saved to a playlist due to UA-cam tightening protections for kids. So thank you for making this accessible
Welcome and thanks for stopping by
Thank you, I like the way you did this! I am a visual learner so I was able to stop and rewind to take notes, to have for myself when I am studying, why don't professors explain like this! This is a 5 min video, and I sat in a lecture like 🤯! Thank you! I maybe able to pass chemistry after my long break from having chemistry class.
I’m watching this at 3 am for my assignment that is due at 8am 😖🤡
How did it go lol
@@elleriemitchell8938 thanks for asking ahaha it went great I got a B+ so that’s not that bad 😭

I love moomoomath and science, its literally teaching me so much about what I am learning in school.
Its so helpful.
Lifesaver FRR my exam is tmrw and I thought that I’ll flunk it but I found this video and let’s just say this is the best doc ever
my teacher did not expalin this well at all and honestly missed a lot of things. this is so clear to understand
I am watching this video at 9 am and my exam is on 12 and thank you I understood how to find the protons and neutrons :)
Bro, you helped me a lot. Tomorrow is my exam. Thanks.
Same
You are welcome
You’ve stopped me from giving up today ! Thank you !
I did this for school so hello to all my classmates in 6th period!
Sup
Nice ow vids
I do them to
Hi, but I'm in 4th period science in a different school which is possibly in a different country.
I wish I could get back into overwatch but I just can't :(
How do you find the charge of an element? I don't understand that part.
Yeah, they seem to have skipped right over that
free elements are neutral
Hi
Hi
@@Ahmed-j7z9v hey
OMG thank you! my TEAs test is next week and i needed help on this topic! super helpful and the table/fill in the blank definetely helped me
i finally found a vid that actually explains it properly and quickly
I am so thankful for you! You just saved my A. God bless
Omg sir thank you so much best video of explaining protons and neutrons!!! ❤
Idk if I'll ever need it but I'm glad that now I know how many neutrons each element has :D
good luck on your chem exam tomorrow
Thank you so much it really helps me to understand the calculations of elements .
Thank you for this videos, thanks alot, have a great week ahead🥰👍
I love the way he explains it so clear
Thank you
taught me more in 5 mins than my teacher did in 2 weeks of teaching this
LMFAO HI KAYLA
Even if im swedish i understand this wayy more than my dumb ass teachers
pay attention
How would you know if atom has a charge?
thank you for making this video, it really helps me
bro saving my life, i have a test in 7 hours
This is awesome. It's way easier to understand tbh😭❤️
Thank you so much for this useful video, this video helps me a lot
thank you soo much I really understand it very clearly and now I am done with my assigment cause at class i didnt undertand the teacher's explanation.... and I watch the advertisement i didnt skip it and i subscribe to your channel I cannot wait to share this video to my cousin^-^
Thanks a lot I have a science test tomorrow
you’re the only reason I’m not failing chemistry I love yiu
Thnk you and I'm glad my video was helpful
Awesome video , thank you for your help!
This video just helped me finish my Chem assignment for college
Thank you I am writing science on Wednesday and your vid helped alot 🔥💪👍
tysm i’m not gonna fail my test :D maybe i’ll update on what i got for my grade in a few days if i remember
This took 2 hours of my life at school
While this man did it in less then 5 mins
Thank you so much this really helps me a lot😊🤗😭
Element name Silver changes to Carbon in the video. This is an excellent introduction for my 8th graders. Thank you!
Why
Thank you, very helpful.
Bro i wish teachers could teach like you
Thanks for your help
U helped me a lot know im prepared for my science test 😊😄😄
There is a mistake in this video in 2:30 The "Ag" means Silver not carbon I knew you fill silver but in below box it write carbon.
Thank you and sorry
yes
i was looking to see if anybody already said it in the comments cause i thought it was just my computer lol

This helped me a lot
how do you know if the electrons are positive or negative?
Electrons are always negative!!!
They are always negative -1 and protons are always positive +1
Neutrons are neutral so they are -0 or +0
How do you find what charge it has?
I have same questions
The charge is always 0 in a neutral atom regardless of the element
Helpful thanks! 😊
where did he get 0 from (for the charge)?
thank u so much its helps me solve my module
You are most welcome
You teach better than my n.s.teacher
How are you determining the zero charge?
I got the same question
@@Jocnottakingonefortheteam have u figured it out

@AuroraAura how do you know if it’s an ion
Thank you so much this has helped me for our long quiz
Welcome
Very helpful thank you
Tnx this video help me so much
thank you so much ❤️
This didn't really help if it has a charge.
still struggling with charges lmfao .
Thank you so much
I’m a bit confuse abou the charge. It’s says +1 in the periodic table for K. Potassium
Thanks
what if there like +3 beside iron whats gonna be electron number?
THANK. YOU.
thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Didn’t know Matthew mconaughey taught chemistry
Bro what's a charge?
what if it has a charge? how would you know if it does have more than 0 charge?
HOLY SHIT YOU SAVED MY ASS FOR MY SCIENCE FINAL TYSM
As I watch this video, i have come to conclusion, that Im not the reason i failed last science activities, but my teacher is the one who failed to teach me huhuhu
thanks for the knoledge
Tysm!!!
thank you
How do I find the charge?
They used to try to change lead into gold. This guy changed silver into carbon!
Thanks for the explanation.
According with my teacher the mass # is not found in the periodic table . How is that possible?
i actually think i can learn more things from youtube all it took me was the first example to figure out my homework lmao
life saver
This helped so much my teacher did not help at all
how do you know the charge of the element?
Yeah. Thats my question too!
@@ludyaragon3990 i hope he'll notice this..
I figured it out! It should be indicated with the element, otherwise its a neutral atom. You can watch this video though, ua-cam.com/video/65dDZulPhtg/v-deo.html
@@ludyaragon3990 thankyouuu!
By the number of electrons
Thanks alot
1:50 Silver says "Carbon" instead of "Silver/"Argentum" XD Also, it would have been great if you'd explained that the carbon card you were showing at the beginning was non-charged (number of protons = number of electrons), hence no charge is given.
thank you soo muuuccchhhh
Does every element have a charge of 0 in the whole table
👍
Is it possible atomic number-80. 1 number less is possible
Thankyou sir
Good day! nice video and very informative and it easy to understand. May I ask permission if I may use this to my lesson and i will post this via private fb page with my students. Thank you!
Bro thank you soo much bro
Always welcome
Where’s the exam in >3 hours gang
w video w explanation
Can anyone hear a music playing
tysm
Taught me more than mr goats
Woah,so to find the mass number you have to round up or round down and after that you have to subtract to protons to get to neutrons?
I love you omg
You mentioned Ag and K have a zero charge, how do we find that information?
Thanks bro
Welcome
How do you find out if the element has a zero charge?
The number of protons will equal the number of electrons
@@MooMooMath but what if there is a positive or negative charge, how do you find that?
Honestly my teachers voice is so soft that sometimes i just fell a sleep at her class
is it like protons and electron numbers are same?
they are unless there is a charge
@@hannah-nz5ov how do you determine the charge?
I pay to learn this in college but I end up in youtube lessons
