Can't believe the F103 is vintage already. Feels not too long ago i was racing these, and the F103 was the new thing. 😅
Haha, bitten by the bug!! To be honest, I'd love an F1 car, being an F1 fan from when I was a wee lad, but I've got nowhere to run it locally so I can't really justify it. I can't wait for some F1 content soon!!
Love the F1 RC 1/10, though I would love a 1/5th petrol one ❤
Problem with 1/5 scale petrol is, whereto run them here in the UK. They need big tracks and are very noisy, so not something you can take out and have a quick run in the local carpark (if you live in a town or city). I own a 5T and its huge but also soooo loud. I can take my electric cars out any time with no problems...5T, no such joy - that said I live in the suburbs of the city, where as if you live in a more rural area I think it might help

Still have my F103L Rahul/Hogan Indy car! Raced it in the 90's. Really want one of those Fenix vintage F1 race kits. Hopefully, you can do a review on them in the future! Love your channel!😊

I have an F104X1. Might be time to find the old wing sets, a body and go racing when the lights go out.

Hey Carl! I have an F103RS that's been a shelf dweller for forever. I even have the CF chassis still in the package and other Hop-Ups as well. I always wanted to run F1 RC, but there just aren't easy to find tracks for it here in the US.
Looks like quite a fun class to race to be fair.
Have you guys raced the Mardave minis before? They look like quite good fun too.

Expensive trip based on current prices. I remember when shops couldn't get rid of Nigel Mansell's first indycar and reduced them to £50! I found, that a trick is not to brake, but to go into tarmac corners at full turn and that works by scrubbing the speed. Need a rebuild of mine for next year I think, definitely gonna get that f104 axle as I really don't like rebuilding the diff every time I change the rear tyres.
The reason that works is because Tamopoly had no clue about correct rear roll couple, it was too long and caused less rear grip, and overall slower cornering, I hated the F103, it was tragic (see my other post)
How far do you guys have to travel to see all these tracks? It would be game over for me if I had access to all the on road and turf tracks you guys feature on the channel 😅

Shame cos if there was a marshall there (there is space for a seat by the look of it) you’d have been right back in it again.
Some racing should be made to scale in terms of speed and acceleration. A combination of added ballast (or heavy chassis) and reduced power might best produce an accurate effect.

What is the difference between the black & Grey Carbon chassis plate of the f103?
The Tamopoly F1 was the largest rubbish in my 2+ decades racing (12th, 10th, sedan). The T-Bar even (level) with the chassis produced zero rear grip (competition wise), they had zero Idea of rear roll couple , the whole overpriced plastic pos was pure rubbish. Every mod I made to my F103 was banned at the Tamopoly track in California, why, it smoked the stock rubbish. After all the banning, you could only run their trash (including their sht tires) on their track, the Tamopoly name was born, they owned it. They only got good cars when they copied everyone else, pretty sad for a company that big with that kind of resources.
