- Florida knocks off Tennessee on Rocky Flop en route to a BCS Championship. Coincidentally, this was also the last game between the two SEC East rivals that was ever close. I do not own any of the footage and claim fair use. Credit to CBS.

what a great year for Florida. So many close games that came down to the wire lol. And even after a tough loss at Auburn, to be able to bounce back and prevail, and (with a little luck) make the championship game, showed how determined this team was.
I was 21 years old at this game. After Wilhoit made the 51 yarder I thought the stadium was gonna collapse. He dampened the momentum by kicking the ensuing kickoff out of bounds. When my Gators came down and scored to take the lead through all that noise, I knew we could win a championship. Tried to go out in Knoxville after the game but it was a ghost town. We took Knoxville's spirit that night!!! 😂🤣 I don't think they've ever recovered it. Golden days of my college and sports years. Great to be a Gator.
As a Florida fan who grew up and lives in East Tennessee I live for these games every year. Especially now that we beat them every year.
Man! Even tho Tennessee lost this was still a great game! I will always have a ton of respect for tim tebow

I can’t lie that roughing the qb call against leak refs gave us that gift. That call turned the whole game around that call sealed it
Tennessee football is a roller coaster of emotions
This 2006 Championship Team was more exciting than the 2008 Team. The 2008 Team was just a powerhouse that steamrolled everyone after that loss to Ole Miss. The 2006 Team was battle tested and grinded out numerous close wins. This game here in Tennessee, a pick six to seal a game two weeks later against Alabama, two third quarter touchdowns to beat LSU, holding off Georgia by a touchdown in Jacksonville, a blocked field goal to seal a win over South Carolina at home, a fourth quarter win on the road at Florida State, and a back and forth seesaw battle with Arkansas in the SEC Championship Game. They capped it off by blowing past Ohio State in the title game.
