All of Agnes' predictions came true, so she would have known Anathema would end up burning the second book. So she would sent the book specifically for Anathema to burn, most likely as a kick start for Anathema to move on.
Well technically Agnes got one prediction wrong in that she thought that Anathema and Newton would be married by the time this second book of prophecies was delivered - but then she was a woman of her time and likely assumed that would be the case because otherwise Anathema's reputation would be ruined.
Yes, I love how all the puzzle pieces (the characters) come together to save the world at the end and everyone plays his or her part and that it is all about how love of various types saves the world.
Amazing reaction as ever! There's other reactors out there who spot the parallel between the Them and the Horsemen, and a few who twig the switcheroo at the end, but not many who get all of it. So yay to you! I was beaming as you were figuring it all out. And yeah, I think it plays off as easy resolution, but actually it's been there all along, but it just wasn't a massive climax. The real important stuff was how it settled after. Can't wait to see your reaction to season two.
So glad you enjoyed the reaction! Yeah, it's an "easy" resolution that actually is incredibly complex because the entire season/story had been building to it working out the way it did. It's an adjustment if you're used to action-packed conclusions, but it makes sense knowing it was originally a book. I'm really excited to revisit season two for the first time as I go through and edit them. :)
In the book the final fight has a bit more too it, Adam crafts rival items for his friends from twigs, so he creates a sword, crown and scales for his friends to weild against the horseman and empowers them so when it makes contact with the relevant horseman it disapates them. Basically using the kids imagination of play against these adult manifestations. There's also a rival gang of kids in the village that Adams group has conflicts with and Adam remarks how heaven and hell are just 2 rival gangs like his group and the other group of kids.
They had the toy versions in the first scene of the Them, in the woods. Wensleydale is weighing something, Brian is wearing a paper crown, and Brian and Pepper are swordfighting with wooden swords.
The four horsemen were easily defeated by Adam’s friends, because Adam took their powers away before the one on one cofrontation. Adam’s power was the ability to change reality by just saying it. Actually, by saying Satan had never been his father, he also took away his own power.
I'm not sure how much Adam had to do with the three defeated horsemen. Since War, Famine and Pollution are creations of humanity, it is in the power of humanity to destroy them too. The children were representatives of humanity, and the horsemen were defeated when the children declared their belief in the opposite.
They switched appearances. Because if Crowley were in Aziraphale's body in Heaven, the hellfire would still have destroyed him, and if Aziraphale were in Crowley's body in Hell, the holy water would still have destroyed him.
Season 2 has already been recorded. The full reactions for the entire season are currently available on Patreon. I had several things happen at the end of May and for basically the entirety of June that have caused my schedule to be very chaotic. So, I haven't been able to start editing those reactions yet. I am hoping to get the season going on here by the end of July.
Although I like the body swapping thing, I also find it a bit unlikely that heaven and hell would be tricked by something simple as their earthly appearance.
The entire second season has already been recorded and the full reactions are on Patreon. I've got very limited time for editing at the moment. I have one episode left of WandaVision and then I can get started on editing the Good Omens season 2 reactions. But, I can't make any promises right now as to when they will be ready because my schedule might get even more busy here very soon.
He didn't wipe the devil from existence, just from his parentage.
You're the only person I've seen, heard of, or read about who guessed the body swap before it was revealed.

I think it is the ex hellhound who still retains some of his powers rather than Adam.

@@BritanyBingesGreat! I will take a look then.
Great reaction as always! Can't wait to see what you think of Season 2!!!
Maybe Agnes knew Anathema would burn the book and all the pages were blank
