Some things are worth redoing even if it goes wrong. Rarely a story ends up a great one. When it goes as it was planned. Its the mistakes the values the unsung heros. And the good times we value. Because you will never feel more alive untill you/me/most (forget to worry) we just live the moment and are happy.. those times i feel are why this song was made. And your comment inspired me! Good people comment on good music with good points! Cheers! ;)
It hits hard. right in the heart of anyone who's been in a band. I'm a 50+ year old band member. That end-out chorus makes me cry every single time I listen.
This song is so beautiful it makes me cry. It brings back memories of when I was a little girl, and my friends and I made a band and poured our heart and soul into the corny, awkward performances. I'll never forget it....ever.... "the performance lives and never grows old"
I can't tell what i like best.... Mark Foster and his adorable face staring at me in the Vevo frame, or this adorable song. :3 Slice of heaven right here.
Lyrics: Oh well the world never seemed bigger Than the summer of '98 Living out in the suburbs Planning my escape I grew my hair to my shoulders Formed a band with a couple of friends And we called ourselves The Devils Playhouse Influences like Bruce and the band And we'd sing and play Simple three chord rock and roll And miles away The other kids would just grow old But we're making our own way out Yeah we're making our own way out Well we'd practice every week in my bedroom While my parents were working in town And one morning in our school assembly Played a cover of "Don't Let Me Down" The performance was nervous and awkward But the passion was real and profound And the kids in the audience laughing While the band just looked at the ground But the victory For the kids who believe in rock and roll I know for me That performance lives, it never grows old But we're making our own way out Yeah we're making our own way out Well I'd give it all back just to do it again Yeah I'd turn back time, be with my friends Yeah I'd give it all back just to do it again Turn back time, be with my friends Yeah I'd give it all back just to do it again Turn back time and be with my friends Yeah I'd give it all back just to do it again Turn back time, be with my friends Tonight
I miss the old videos like "5 years time" or "2 bodies 1 heart", the ones in which they all wore yellow clothes and in which they were so "naive". but this video is sooo adorable, I love the fact the mini-charlie is wearing those tiny british socks, and all the children are so cute :)
It seems as though there are 57 people without a soul... I love the way charlie tosses his mic stand back and forth in this video. One of my most distinct memories when I saw the band was charlie singing this song. taking off his jacket, rolling up the sleeves, and doing the mic toss thing. Very much the same as towards the end of this video.
This song has inspired me to go back to school and be the best in my class! Which I'm hoping will be easy enough since I'm a 35 year old man. No way am I losing to 8 year olds.
My brother is the little one that is playing the drums
loretta walsh great
This will forever be one of my favorite songs.
This is simply the most adorably inspiring thing on the face of the Earth.

This is the story of my life. Victory for the kids who believe in Rock n Roll, Yay!
Love how their lyrics tell a story, there poetic yet easy to follow and not overly ambiguous.

Lyrics:
Oh well the world never seemed bigger
Than the summer of '98
Living out in the suburbs
Planning my escape
I grew my hair to my shoulders
Formed a band with a couple of friends
And we called ourselves The Devils Playhouse
Influences like Bruce and the band
And we'd sing and play
Simple three chord rock and roll
And miles away
The other kids would just grow old
But we're making our own way out
Yeah we're making our own way out
Well we'd practice every week in my bedroom
While my parents were working in town
And one morning in our school assembly
Played a cover of "Don't Let Me Down"
The performance was nervous and awkward
But the passion was real and profound
And the kids in the audience laughing
While the band just looked at the ground
But the victory
For the kids who believe in rock and roll
I know for me
That performance lives, it never grows old
But we're making our own way out
Yeah we're making our own way out
Well I'd give it all back just to do it again
Yeah I'd turn back time, be with my friends
Yeah I'd give it all back just to do it again
Turn back time, be with my friends
Yeah I'd give it all back just to do it again
Turn back time and be with my friends
Yeah I'd give it all back just to do it again
Turn back time, be with my friends
Tonight

People who keep on saying music has died are clearly not indie music fans. Indie music has been at an all-time awesomeness the past decade.

It seems as though there are 57 people without a soul...
