When blending copics (hope I spelled that right) you can put a little tiny drop of water in the spot where the to colors meet and just let it sit I watched this video before the first IM A REBEL
+Art ala Carte I just want to share something with you here, because I noticed you said "I want to be able to blend my colors". The thing is, that Copics are always blendable, for instance, I could have a picture from a week ago which I colored with Copics, and I'm not happy with the blending in certain areas. I can still blend the colors by adding the blending color onto the paper, and it will blend, because Copics always are blendable! ^^ I have been working a lot with Copics, and the reason I found out is because I experienced it myself c: I hope that this little tip helped somewhat ^^ Love your work, keep it up :D
I wish I could have the skill to color with these markers :( I'm barely getting used to drawing with pencils and I don't know if I'd be able to get good at using these types of markers
I recently just bought my first copic marker (my mom was buying and she said only one marker for now ._.) and I already love it. I used it once so far for a background drawing I did for Lapis Lazuli (also the name of the marker X3) and it looked really cool. I loved it so much and I hope that I'll be able to get more. I honestly got the Copic markers because of you, your marker art is so amazing that I thought that maybe I could do it too. So thank you for the inspiration for me :)
I want to try this with my Derwent Inktense water color pencils. Its beautiful!! I also tend to get carried away and then do an uh oh!! I watched the other one first.
Every time you were like I don't know about this green, my inner artist was screaming: "I LOVE IT KEEP GOING THE GREEN IS AMAZZZING WITH THE PURPLE DONT GO BACK SLAP IT ON THERE GURL!!!!!"😂😂
So mad right now! I was wondering why you hadn't been posting, but it turns out that I just haven't gotten any of your notifications- for two weeks! Time to binge, I guess
Oh no!!! Never fear! I will most always post three times a week. Sometimes even more! If you click the notifications button it will make sure to send you a notice.
I want to ask you what is your opinion about chameleon markers.... i bough them and i saw the copics ...... what is better copics of chameleon (propably copics) Also what is your opinion about copics ciao
I've had Copics for a little over a year now, but I'm always worried about the ink I've laid down drying before I can blend it. You seem to blend the ink fine (in this video and the pervious one), so what am I doing wrong?
+Sunbeam The Rain-SandWing depends on the colors you are using... if you try to blend a dark color with a light, you will have a harder time. That is why there are sooo many different shades of each color. So you can create a gradually gradient color that blends out. Hope that helps.
I lost my fine liner in the bus and I really want to draw and paint something, but if I do I thing the graphite will blend with color pencils and mess the picture, what should I do?
I think it's gorgeous, but I feel that the green is too dark, and it overwhelms the light colors of the actual subject of the piece (Making the dragon look unfinished). Maybe someday you can scan it into Photoshop, and lighten the background a bit.
I love your picture art ala carte! I absolutely love dragons! Does anybody have any hints on how to blend regular achohol based markers? They are not copies by the way,
how about dart on the art? fart on my art? art in my cart? start at my art? chart for your art? start with my art ? heart my art? the one amazing drawer?
+emery reidhead Not for this dragon. But I do have a digital coloring page on my Etsy shop that is a dragon. If you click the etsy link, you should be able to look around at the other items offered. :)
This dragon is the best I've ever seen!!! But... I don't know what 'copics' are. Are they markers? Normal makers? Or a kind of water color on a marker? And... From where you buy them? ?.? I don't think that they sell them in my country :(
+Stephanie Juarez most art stores have copics, but i do suggest checking around for the prices because they are expensive. they are kinda cheapest online.
I have a really bad problem with not getting the copic to blend the way I want it without using way to much copic because I don't have colored pencils or such that match the colors I'm using :/ For instance, I was doing this one picture the other day that used a lot of black, but boy did it go on a lot sharper than I anticipated... I ended up using way too much grey trying to get it to smooth out... is there a way you can blend black/other dark colors that won't be too ink consuming for both the dark color or your lighter colors???
I like the physical version that way if anything happens to your computer you know you can just upload it again without the hassle of finding you code.
Just try try again and don't give up. It's easy to quit, push yourself to get better even if there are no immediate results. I was pretty bad but I got a lot better at art and now I post all my crap on Instagram and I STILL don't like how it looks. People there help me with constructive criticism. So don't give up!
I don't understand why people lay down one copic colour and then go over with another one and they do this in most of their artwork and it literally does nothing? I understand layering and the lot, but what's the point of say, laying down a light blue and then going over with a darker blue and it looks just like the darker blue anyway? If that's too confusing, say I put down the darker blue on one spot and then next to it I put the lighter blue. Then I go over with the darker blue on top of the lighter one and it looks exactky like the darker blue. What would be the point? I've seen many artists do this time and time again so I was just wondering.
It can be hard to see the small difference through the camera. But laying two colors will first give a new color. So the areas I did that in my picture look like a dark green/blue color. Where if I went with the dark blue first, it would just be blue. When artists laying with the light colors together, they are creating a gradient blend. The goal is to get it to go from color to another seamlessly. It is a lot of trouble, but many artists are willing to put that time in to get just the right look. Hope that helps answer your very good question. Thanks for asking it. 😀
Every time you were like I don't know about this green, my inner artist was screaming: "I LOVE IT KEEP GOING THE GREEN IS AMAZZZING WITH THE PURPLE DONT GO BACK SLAP IT ON THERE GURL!!!!!"😂😂
On every video, I almost want to skip to the end to see the final product, just because I get excited.
As Mrs. Frizzle would say: Take chances. Make mistakes. Get messy!
I love the green.
+paranoiaprincess Yess!! Miss Frizzle all the way!!
That is the most beautiful dragon I have ever seen!!!
I came from the first video! I love the dragon. I can't believe I never considered purple with green before
Beautiful !! Loved the finished project !! TFS !!
the dark at the top really helps the Dragon pop. it's amazing! :)
Love this dragon so much, at first when you started the background I was like "that's a lot of green and yellow" but it turned out really nice
When blending copics (hope I spelled that right) you can put a little tiny drop of water in the spot where the to colors meet and just let it sit
I watched this video before the first IM A REBEL

I was a rebel and watched this one first. 😜Val awesome job!
I loved watching how you built up your background to make her pop after having watched your first video creating her. Magical! Thank you :)
So glad it turned out! 🤗

i dont think green was a good color but the dragon was very pretty!
I'm always so terrified of ruining a picture by coloring it. I hate that I never take risks.
I love!
It would be even more cool if you did a green sparkly portal in the back ground
You should do a dragon birthstone for every month. October should be the colorful Opal. Not the solid pink. 😀
I just my first copics, I got nine lol not many
can you do a drawing with touch five markers? I just got some and really want to see what they are capable of!!
That YG01 looks like it's lightfastness was thrown out the window

I want to ask you what is your opinion about chameleon markers.... i bough them and i saw the copics ...... what is better copics of chameleon (propably copics) Also what is your opinion about copics ciao
I don't know if DrawWithJazza has a copics video but check him out and you can learn a lot from his drawings
I like it.
Have you tried using tip to tip mixing to achieve an intermediate colour?
can you please do a video on drawing fire around something
can you do a video on how to draw crystals?
I think coloured pencil on the copic would've looked cool too
I've already seen the first one

I lost my fine liner in the bus and I really want to draw and paint something, but if I do I thing the graphite will blend with color pencils and mess the picture, what should I do?
i have a question is the green grass i am just confused i think it is. is it?
I think it's gorgeous, but I feel that the green is too dark, and it overwhelms the light colors of the actual subject of the piece (Making the dragon look unfinished). Maybe someday you can scan it into Photoshop, and lighten the background a bit.
I love your picture art ala carte! I absolutely love dragons! Does anybody have any hints on how to blend regular achohol based markers? They are not copies by the way,
What brand are they?
+Art ala Carte they are a studio series alcohol based markers. I don't know if you ever heard of them. I bought them from Barnes and noble.
+Art ala Carte there called studio series markers
Amazing! Other than copics, what markers do you use?
I use Spectrum Noir. Art ala Carte did too before she started using Copics.
Thanks!
Np! XD
What brand are these markers? Where can I find them?
Sooo Amazing! Art ala Carte. I need your help. I want to make an art youtube channel but i want a unique user name. How did you make up your username?

+emery reidhead Not for this dragon. But I do have a digital coloring page on my Etsy shop that is a dragon. If you click the etsy link, you should be able to look around at the other items offered. :)
+Art ala Carte ok thanks!!

Just keep practicing and find what you like to draw but also practice what your not good at yet
^
im confused...what is art block? is it like copyright for art??
it's when you are uninspired or don't know what to draw. so your art is blocked.
When you have art block, you're just not happy with anything you draw.
+Bearlee Survivin oh i thought it was copyright so you can't draw for a while or something XD any who...I GET ART BLOCK ALL THE TIME :P
Yeah!!!!! So happy about this! This is so cool, I might try this sometime
