- Thomas Struth is one of the most important and influential photographic artists working today. A child of post-World War II Germany, Struth started out photographing the reconstructed streets in his hometown of Dusseldorf. Within a few years he was travelling the world to photograph city streets across the globe as a way of reflecting the societies that created them.
Ein bildschaffender "Buchhalter" des Menschlichen - ein wirklicher Künstler.
Struth is great artist with simple but yet so complex contemp. approach to world observ.. Very "painting" values added on top. Proud to live in same city.
I can’t use words. Someone else fill in what they fill. Mine will be left to my heart.
exquisite slices of silence and stillness / his work is all about feel to me ... no deep interpretation needed
Excellent work!!
sooooooo good
Bigger than life photography. Undoubtedly influenced many later greats. Andreas Gursky, Wolfgang Tillmans, Edward Burtynsky, Peter Bialobrzeski.
Genius. Love it.
IDEAS!
Interesting
Wow
Love the landscaping. some of the interor is too modern.
I really find this præsentation very interesting but I admit that I personally prefer his earlier works compaired to the later works inspired from Technology.

Totally overrated boring photographer .
how so?
boring comment
You mustn't compare yourself against established artists, but rather against your earlier self. In due time you will improve.
You don't understand his work.
I had the privilege to see his works in a exhibition a few years ago. They're impressive. I bet you never saw them in person. Because if you did, you'd not say they're boring. And if you did see them in person and still say they're boring, well, that would make you a very dumb person.
