Hi, Just wanted to say I appreciate what you have done here. I also had an idea to create a "how to mod gothic 3 in 2023" video which you have 100% done a better job than I ever could have. Well done my guy!
Thank you. I actually really like this game and have been playing it for years. People create mods that only add more interest to this game, the Gothic game has only gotten better and more interesting over the years. That's why I came up with the idea of creating a tutorial so that everyone could get the best modifications in my eyes at the moment. Thanks everyone for support and enjoy this game.
Thank you. 👍 I hope these tutorials help other people. Once upon a time, maybe 5 years ago, I went through all the Gothic parts. But even after all this time, there hasn't been a better RPG than this one. So I decided to play from Gothic part 1. Really reminds me of the good old days. And with all the improvements people have made, those games only get more awesome :)
@@MJUneek after the gothic franchise started to awake a bit a just had the urge to give the largest of the game of the series a go again. Really thank you i tried for a good couple hours to get everything again. G3 with all these extras really makes you wonder what piranha bytes could have done with the original version if they just had more time. Anyway im having a lot of fun with thid version :)
Hi! sorry for bothering, I wanted to ask you if it's normal that my HUD is different, I mean, hp stamina and mana are displayed horizontally while in your game, they are all diplayed in the bottom right corner. I chose dark menu instead of original one and the only thing I did not do is the reshade cause I don't really like how it looks after it , so I skipped it. Thanks in advance
Hello, i appreciate the files and gonna test them soon. I see you added Reshade. I've compiled a custom build of Reshade with the startup messages hidden (in fact, i did it to integrate reshade to a preconfigured Gothic 1). I could share the files if you like. Edit: I downloaded your preconfigured game. What were the mods used? It seems i level up A LOT faster. Despite disabling Reshade, my PC is struggling to maintain 60 fps, i guess it has to do with the draw distance.
Hello. If you want you can share the Reshade files, it might be useful for people. My observation is that after integrating Reshade, the fps drops a lot... But in my opinion, everything looks much nicer and more fun with Reshade... If you want the fps to be higher, you need to configure the ge3.ini values to lower values. In this case, more fps can be squeezed out, but I prefer to see everything and every detail. I listed all the modifications in the description. Or you can see what mods I chose here: drive.google.com/file/d/1QU9zH863oJbL5m4UpAIPVErGNmalm9aO/view My PC is quite old, so it usually won't exceed 60 fps either. It is somewhere around 40-53 fps, but as I mentioned, it depends a lot on how you configure the ge3.ini file. If you want more fps, you have to reduce the values, how to do this, you can search on google or download already configured by other people. Because I chose average values to suit most people.
After the mod starter step, when i run the game and wait for the shader cache to be generated, it doesn't do anything. It says press the button to start but it doesn't start. Update: I waited for 20 minutes and it started finally
Thank you so much for the tutorial, it was really easy following it. I have one problem, at pretty much the last step when i launch the game and it's compiling shaders, it says that some shaders are missing. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Thanks again!
Can you explain a little more? Is there a missing shader when you turn on the shader during the game? And the red color probably indicates that it is missing (indicates that it does not exist) ?
Have you tried the updated consequences alternative mod "Ring des Wassers"? Its created by the same guy. Includes most features from Content mod and adds a ton of changes. Don't know if its in English though Edit: "Thanks alot for the guide". Only updated guide out there
I have not tried this modification. Now, as far as I've searched, I've only found this modification in German, it's probably not in English. This is the first time I've heard about this modification. Is it just sometimes not for Gothic 2? ua-cam.com/video/fdh3Wq2JZB4/v-deo.html

Sadly I tested it and it works only for German text. If game subtitles is in English, game menu will have no text present unless you put the subtitles in German. Overall, thanks for the guide. This is by far the best updated guide for English users
Lively Towns mod causes textures to disappear, all the buildings, roofs etc.. I tried installing up to the point of MDS with LTM and its all fine but when I isntall LTM with MDS the textures disappear, anyone know why?

Hi Nallier. I have a question then? Why when you free Ardea and new characters appear. Do they all speak English? Of course the characters don't have a voice, but they have English subtitles. I think this is enough to play normally and more interestingly. Or maybe those subtitles won't be everywhere?
@@MJUneek Ok, that was my mistake, sorry >_> Turns out I misunderstood the mod description. I've just downloaded it and checked the stringtable. You are right, everything looks fine. Translation maybe isn't the best, but it's good enough to play. Now I regret not installing this mod, but I already started my first playthrough (3 hours in). I have a similar setup to yours, except for Lively Towns, instead, I've added the Return of General Lee (with my own translation >_>).
