    I have updated the Build Guide with a more powerful motor. The motor the kit calls for was too fast and wasnt ideal for crawling. I still think we need to go even lower, but this is a MASSIVE improvement! www.3dprintsos.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Bamboo-4x4-Build-v2.pdf

    Very nice build, something that could be recommended with kids to learn on building, however the pricing is much higher than I would have wanted. RTR kits and Tamiya kits are running about the same price or lower. Getting the experience building it is definitely an added plus, however some hobby store kits are ones you have to build too.

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  2 роки тому +2

      Yes. The price is similar to a kit for sure. But the customization and actually creating the parts yourself is what makes this super cool.

    It's not because there's a chunk of weight ( about 3kg of filament) the problem is that it feels top-heavy. all the 3d sets crawlers that I build feel that way.

    I really dont know how and why I didnt find your chanel sooner, sir, the quality, details and info in your videos is impressive! I.ve been looking to get my 1st 3d printer for a while now and I jumped back and forth between getting big machine (Artillery Sidewinder X2) or getting something smaller, cheaper and more versatile (when it comes to upgrades) as a Creality printer or similar to learn on. After watching your videos, the Aquila X2 seems like the best option but Im a little worried about the N32/H32 chips. Does it still have a problem with those? Would it be an option to swap the board out for a Creality one then get Alex's firmware for it? Sorry if its a stupid question, just a newbie trying to do his homework😅

    • @pumpc00
      @pumpc00 2 роки тому +3

      just get a printer and start printing. there is a learning curve but its not steep. every filament is different. each project is different but it's small steps and experience.

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  2 роки тому +1

      No need to to worry about the h32 anymore. Voxelab fixed the issues via firmware and Alex released a nearly perfect beta of a JyersUI fork. So, the Aquila is still a great deal. :)

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  2 роки тому

      ^ I agree. ;)

    • @mszoomy
      @mszoomy 2 роки тому +3

      I have the Aquila X2, I chose it over the base model mainly because of the filament sensor which is really not worth it in my opinion. The only other difference I believe is the orientation of the screen. The X2 is vertical and the regular Aquila is horizontal but they work the same and if you upgrade your firmware, which you will eventually, it will make your horizontal screen run vertical anyway. So in my opinion, I'd go with the base Aquila over the X2. I'm still a newb myself but that's what I learned. I wound up removing my filament sensor completely, it's a pain in the ass cause any bit of debris or dust gets in there can mess it up
