Disappointed that Ancient Dragon Lansseax didn’t make a surprise appearance in this challenge. Also, I’m surprised neither Luke nor Andy dropped a comment about getting the webs out with ice and club soda.
The entire group is pretty funny, but Andy definitely puts catalyzes some extra comedy even with that considered lol And he does it so well too, most of the time in my experience "the funny one" can be quite annoying trying to make jokes out of everything
It's a strong contender for the best part of the video because it's so ridiculous and so out of nowhere, and as soon as it happened, I thought, "Oh perfect, these people who play and comment on games for a living just got handed the video game equivalent a huge slice of birthday cake to enjoy."
On the sixth day of Christmas, Oxboxtra gave to me: Six webs a-swinging, Five butt stomped sheep, Four free fall fails, Three spells cast, Two chicken eggs, And fun Jedi hair styling
A born and raised New Yorker, seeing Ellen navigate from Central Park to Coney Island with knowledge of the most efficient route made me very happy and makes her a certified New Yorker. Proud of you Ellen.
Spider sense is whatever a writer wants it to be. At one point it got so crazy, Spidey could just straight up predict future and he also used it to beat The Thing at poker lol
The Thing is whatever it wants to be as well. An adorable dog that then turns itself inside out, as mass of tentacles and teeth, and head that detaches and scurries across the room. I wouldn't to play poker with though. Burn it with fire.
But as someone who hasn't played 2, how much of a difference is there in the traversal other than added move sets? I feel Andy made a lot of rookie errors for someone who played the first. Maybe it's the Xbox in him recoiling from the sinful controller in his hands?
Man, from the moment Ellen started I had a feeling she'd win. She was locked in and her Spidey-swinging was just smooth as hell. (And bringing in the trivia about Broadway!)
I'm honestly impressed at how well Andy did without playing the game before. And considering his trouble with the diving, he could have given Ellen even more of a run for her money without that
Spider Rose, Spider Rose She does things like a spider does (pronounce that second "does" like "doughs") She can swing from a web A pigeon is impaled in her head
Don't worry, I already figured out how to spell does (Like dose) Also the Spider-Farrant variant would end with "A pigeon impaled his crotch" wouldn't it?
Andy: "I need this! Do you know what I've sacrificed?!" My dude, you're in the lead lol But also, Ellen absolutely willing to make Andy go first in a game he's never played and she's played _a lot_ to snag that Christmas Point xDD
There's actually an old Spider Villain named The Wall. So yes Walls is a an old adversary. Not a doctor though, his intellect made Rhino seem like a Nobel lariat
0:58 Red Dead Online Christmas Cowboy Fashion Show: Go into RDO and dress your character up in the most Christmasy fashion possible. Andy to judge. Dressing like Pikachu is acceptable, but not recommended.
Just leaving new York after sight ,my first thing to do is play spider-man 2 and find the location and how accurate it is so place's. So can't wait to see this challenge ❤NYC
My mind instantly created a future scenario where families flee from a now aged Spiderman living behind the bins at the amusement park, until those nice men from the government come to take him away.
Lol at that ending! Also Andy getting annoyed whenever spidey collides into a wall or misses a web point was hilarious, and Ellen smoothly doing cinematic shots while still keeping time was impressive
On the sixth day of Xmas the Outside X team gave to me 6 crimes ignored 5 dead goats 4 storey falls 3 healing potions 2 zombie loops A a Jedi Knight force tear
Yeah, we all know web swinging speed increases as you progress the game, so the only fair way to compete is using almost exactly the same setup they used (barring any assists you want to take off)
The spider sense has a lot of different explanations. The most common one is that it is a mild precognitive/empathic sense. So it responds to people with active malicious intentions and but also specifically alerts Spider-Man to things a moment or two before they happen.
Personally I always preferred the depiction from the first Raimi movie, wherein it's just a form of hyper-awareness which allows him to recognize incoming threats before they hit. Like the way a fly can jump out of the way when you swat at it.
Did they decide not to use the air currents beforehand, or does it just so happen that none of them run along this route? I was surprised Ellen didn't pull out that card to blow Andy's mind.
I have a fun fact about Spider-Man. He first appeared in the comic book amazing fantasy issue number fifteen. The reason why he made his debut there is because amazing fantasy wasn't going to be published anymore and people thought that a spider themed superhero wouldn't be popular, so the hope that when amazing fantasy stopped being published, it would take the character with it. Obviously that's not what ended up happening.
They should have turned off swing assistance and turned on fall damage, probably would have made it a bit closer. Regardless, great challenge, can't wait until tomorrow's 🤠
@@intergalactic92 Doubt it. Swing assistance just takes away control, and Andy isn't a noob. He's already played at least the prequel, if not any other Spider-Man games he may have played

Andy did quite well considering he hasn't played this game. I think his downfall was following a right angle towards the marker instead of making straight for it like Ellen did. Nice to see everyone with at least a point!
Interesting to see people still haven't picked up on the curated aspects of each Christmas challenge. Certain points are always mostly guaranteed to go to certain contestants. It keeps things fair and the audience satisfied with their fav members getting a good run.
Elder statesman superhero like Wolverine has to say: So Bub, guess what I did? Spiderman: Slashing? Wolverine:...Yeah so I just started slashing. :P LOL
Nyooooom~ Very fun trip through New York, everyone! Ignoring all the crime and causing all the accidents, I'm sure. XD And oh man, that ending. . .turning into a Xmas full of surprises, huh?
Disappointed that Ancient Dragon Lansseax didn’t make a surprise appearance in this challenge. Also, I’m surprised neither Luke nor Andy dropped a comment about getting the webs out with ice and club soda.
I briefly forgot that wasn’t actual Spiderman lore. MCC is really spicing up my memory of canon.
Instead Ancient Bin Lansseax defeated Spider-Man here.
That was only the spider man of the dcom universe, this is insomniac spider man
Ancient Dragon Lansseax just shows up once an episode to destroy someone's shot at a point. 😆
I think Lanseseax at least deserves to be on the scoreboard.
Andy: “Can critiquing the suits be the challenge?”
Me: *checks length of video* Nope, clearly that didn’t happen.
Andy is the catalyst for so much comedy for Oxtra, love the chemistry from the entire group. Love the challenges!
The entire group is pretty funny, but Andy definitely puts catalyzes some extra comedy even with that considered lol
And he does it so well too, most of the time in my experience "the funny one" can be quite annoying trying to make jokes out of everything
The Andy-and-Luke banter reminded me of the Kingdoms of Amalur session that spawned "It's time for work, boys" 😁
The ending was completely unexpected. 😂😂😂
I can see the headline now: "Spider-Man: Recyclable Threat Or Compostable Menace?"
@@AdrianColley SPIDER-MAN: Menace to bins everywhere! *Shot of Spider-Man being defeated by a humble bin*

With great power comes great force times speed. If Jane was there, she'd educate you.
....I dunno, I just heard her ask about the recoil from Rocket Launchers in the Resident Evil 4 DLC video. Time to have her physicist badge removed 😂

Playing like 50 hours of this particular game MIGHT have helped with that. Maybe. A little.
First time they played this game, Ellen and Luke tried to swim to Brooklyn, so... live and learn.
Pauline reported that arms deal because her officers followed the dealer to NYC from New Donk City.

Ellen is a very competitive person.
It was a Spiderman 1 reference where Norman Osborn barks that at his board of shareholders shortly before killing them all
I love Ellen's laughter and that ending 😂
What We Do In The Shadows reference! Points to all for that
BAT!
Ellen sitting in the couch going “Wheeeeeeee!” during Andy’s playthrough….. love it.
How could you leave it on a cliff hanger? Did spider-man escape the bin? Who was the villain that put it there to trap him?
The Green-Bin Goblin
Don't worry; someone gently lowered a cup over him, slid a piece of newspaper underneath, and deposited him on the porch.

So what litigious thing did Andy say between 10:00 and 10:01 that had to be cut out?
Probably a Disney reference
This without any swing assist would be a fun one for next year!
3:02 this is when a spider falls into the bathtub and panics
