It would worry me that I would end up reverse pivoting if I tried this, Stuart but I understand the thinking behind it.
Keep up all your good advice for us old codgers!

Reverse pivot rarely rarely come from lower half behaving like advised; you’d simply fall over. Reverse pivot is so rarely seen I’d be more worried it has a place on your mind of a caution. 😊Hope that helps David.

Stuart I dropped from 20.7 to 16.9 on my whr. I’m so impressed with my improvement since I focused on the handle of the club. The face just does what the new stronger grip intends. Three knuckles showing my pro told me wrongly I would be in Hook City.
    Thanks again

At 37 I always enjoy this type of content, because it is relevant given passed sporting injuries, and I wanna play the game as long as possible.

As I said before I am a spinal cord injury t6 incomplete and had to walk again and I had no body rotation walking. The action of walking is so similar to the golf swing so you are spot on with this video 😊

Lots of credit to your approach- explanation and questions to us for consideration- getting us to think thru our swings motions or intents vs telling us how to swing the x way or modeling some interpretation of Rory, DJ or Tiger 😊 “motion underneath the torso “ huge concept for me at least.

Education of the golf swing on social media simply isn’t done to any great length; fighting the tide of quick fix and misunderstanding is akin to a cult following, poor golf ensues. I hope we can all improve on this UA-cam journey. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts Jack. Best wishes Stu 😊

Thanks Stuart - I’m a senior golfer and just tried the drill. Much better on my backswing side - really stiff on the forward swing. Obviously not rotating enough in my swing. Will try it daily and report back!

It worked fine for me at the drivingrange🎉. During the 9 holes I walked afterwards, every now and then I got stuck, but I do now know where to take notice off and how to practice this. Thanks again! Greetings Conny

Great content Stuart. I have recently found your video's and they are helping to transform my game. As I am playing catch up with your content I was wondering if you could suggest a starting point of what you think in priority is the order to watch your content. Hope that makes sense.
    Keep up the good work

Hi Andrew - a big welcome to my channel and huge thanks for sharing your thoughts. Please please start with the grip series, really important. Then, “All Pros Do This” and then work through them. So much content that the more you watch the bigger and clearer the picture will become. Hope that’s OK and if you have any questions, please let me know. You’ll see the production has evolved, so apologies or the early quality! 😂 Best wishes Stu

Hey, best explanation of pressure through the feet leading to proper rotation of hips, really enlightening thank you 👏👏
Watching your previous content I concluded that pressure through the feet leading to proper movement of the body/arms to allow corresponding pressure on the handle, swings the club and clubface, assuming the grip is proper of course😉....
here is the issue with most amateurs.... here is where you can will lose people.... most of us struggle with strike, especially when trying a new movement pattern.... are we to assume that strike will happen on its own if moving properly? In my experience yes you can move a certain way but you also have to think about strike at the ball. So if you could please link this concept of movement with ball striking.... are you thinking of anythig at the ball, divot, ball first etc. How do we get a consistent strike with your conepts?? Please and thank you.

Great great question - I have done a video specifically on ball striking; ball striking is a skill and to be worked on in isolation. Segmenting your practice with all the various components is the way to go for sure. Hope that helps? Best wishes Stu 😊

@@GoodGolfCoachingappreciate the reply, yes I did have a look at the previous ball striking video and agree it definitely is a skill development thing.
It's just when you are implementing a new movement concept... strike tends to go which can be discouraging and deflating.
Would love to see a video linking the concepts you teach and ball striking.
As in yes I am now shifting pressure properly, pulling on the club, pushing with left leg... how do I implement that to get a good strike on the ball.
      Thank you.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  9 місяців тому +1

Ball striking is a skill, just work on it. If a swing change doesn’t improve ball striking fairly quickly, you’re working on the wrong ingredient. Best wishes Stu

I don't (yet) have any problem with turning I tend to hit the ball very high but short on distance. Another problem is if I take a practice swing I can complete my follow through but when playing the ball I stop around waist high....

You need to use your feet better Ron. Tail tail sign of zero pressure through your feet. My new video on Ground Pressure will help you.

i've found that doing the swing without a pivot of turning the hips and shoulders isn't much at all. i'm 73 years old and it took me a long time to figure that out, the whole thing happens so fast. thnx for the info.

what i find works for me is turn the left shoulder and hip and the left knee kicks in and left shoulder is under the chin and the downswing is just a reaction move. i don't think about the arms and club at all except for the wrist condition, going back. it's been working for me. @@GoodGolfCoaching
