I support lesbian girls, and my sister is a lesbian whom I love and always support. However, I hold a different view when it comes to boys, and I strongly oppose the idea of men being gay."

You both are beautiful and amazing! You obviously have a heart for helping not only patients, but helping others that are seeking to follow what you both do in your nursing field. Well done Alex & Whitney!!

My sister has gastroparesis. A severe case. She is literally starving to death. I don't want her to suffer anymore. She was crying when I left earlier today. I love her so much. I'm so happy for you two. You're both an inspiration as a 50yr old lesbian. I am extremely happy for both of you. Any suggestions will help. Please...

My niece also got tired of bedside nursing. She is now a nurse practitioner in the Seattle area. She loves it!😍

Cool to hear stories but it sounds so 🥱 maybe a little music for background. Not loud but something joyful to spark

I am all for people finding love with their soulmates like you two. My daughter is a NP here in Oregon. She just several years ago and the opportunity came to buy a practice so that is what she does now. I was a nursing assistant for over 25 years. The medical field is a worthwhile occupation that really makes a difference.

Interesting the paths we take. Spouse clinical burn nurse specialist. Very smart But dx with MS so knew I had to step up. Went and got MS in guidance and counseling Kinda same as I was finishing they added 15 credit hours and $9.00 for clinical. Yea forget that. Had wanted to be NP since 1979 so always a goal. Couldn’t move had to wait til Missouri developed a program. Same as you worked and school. Hard 2 years but worth it. Then graduated in two months working in a private clinic to owning and running the clinic for 20 plus years. I never liked hospital nursing. Burnt out in the service and ER. So went into public health. Worked for CDC during the AIDes crisis. No money but unbelievably rewarding. Then FNP Loved it all but if I had to do it all over again I would have picked up some business classes along the way. True nursing is so far from business the pennies are hard to count but so necessary. Yes go for it. Learning never hurts you. I went to nursing school with a woman who was 63 years old. She graduated and hadn’t been in school for over 40 years. So no excuses

I thought about studying for an RN degree for a few years (my BA's in illustration). I nerd out about physiology, and more niche fields like nephrology and rheumatology. But after 5 years of working as a unit clerk in a state hospital, I've just gotten so disheartened by the politics, pettiness, and hospitals doing so little about about people being at the job for the salary, boundless, OT, and near unfirability as long as one performs the bare minimum. To be fair, I do know some great RN's, CNA's, LPN's, NP's, PA's, etc.. It's just that when loopholes open the doors wide enough for large numbers to exploit the system, it's almost impossible to detoxify the workspace.
Good things are that this job's allowed me some freedom to come out, attend concerts, go on trips, stand up for myself, and get in touch with my authentic self. An NP who I work with recommended getting back into blogging as a career move, and I've been trying to consistently do that while clerking to earn my start-up funding.
I'm not sure if private hospitals have less of corruption problem among staff. Or if it differs from state to state. Becoming disillusioned about working in the medical field, I feel like Michael Crichton when he turned his back on the AMA.

When we need to change doctors, we have found we get better care from nps. We won't consider an office if there is not an np on staff

Don't you guys ever feel bored or fed up with always kissing? Why don't you seek a more meaningful life and help others too? I'm not saying you should break up or end your relationship, but rather, try to do good things and help others as well. Showing off your kissing to the world isn't a meaningful life
