  • The Ruger LCP (Lightweight Compact Pistol) is a subcompact, .380 ACP pocket pistol announced by Sturm, Ruger at the 2008 SHOT Show. The pistol lacks certain features required for sale in California or Massachusetts.
Weighing just 9.4 oz (266.5 g) this is Ruger's first entry into the field of tiny, ultra-light defensive pistols. LCP stands for "Lightweight Compact Pistol" and was designed in direct response to customer requests for a compact firearm for use by police as a back-up, and as a defensive handgun for civilian concealed carry needs.

In 3 and a half minutes this is such an excellent animation on a COMPLETE disassembly of the LCP. I've seen videos from other people that run almost 10 minutes and only cover field stripping. Wow. Great job.

Your videos are extremely helpful. Whenever i build another 3D printed gun, i always use these videos of yours to help me understand how the gun goes together. I'm about to build a Ruger LCP, and this is soo much help!

Holy cow. So clear , so simple , and easy to visualize/understand . What on earth are other ppl thinking , making a 1hr long “how to video” that essentially turns into a podcast episode with the lowest possible video quality and crap camera angles.

    This is an EXCELLENT video.
However... no matter how hard I try, I can't get my parts to make the *click* and *schtick* sounds when installing. :P

The intro is definitely how NOT to unload a gun but other than that the video is amazing and helped me a lot! Thank you!

This is super. Any thoughts on doing another one on the LCP MAX 380 ?.... seems VERY similar in many areas, ...BUT...maybe different enough to warrant it's own? Just askin'....as the MAX is getting to be very popular......

    Seriously great video. Well done!
Which part will fix the 2 I bought for my wife and me? Constant jamming and FTE >:(

I found I have to use round-nosed rounds. If I use flat-nosed rounds it will constantly jam.

I polished the feed ramp, hammer cocking surface, and the feed lips on my mags. This cleared up all malfunctions.
