i wish i could play this
i believe in you
Haha thx actually learning this for a festival lol just thought the joke was funny
@@jw4985 lol i missed the joke, good luck anyway
Dont let the tabs intimidate you. It's pretty much scales. Break it up into chunks and practice it together. Just like anything else 😊
Dang I just caught the joke lol
Fantastic! Thanks so much for the cover and tab. I’ve got my work cut out for me but I WILL learn this. I might hate the song after months of perpetual practice, but it’ll be worth it. The song and baseline are timeless.
You know someone is good at something when you look at what he does and it seems super easy. It's a pleasure watching you play, great job.
Thanks so much Ricardo Carrión Hurtado. I'm glad that you liked it.
This song isn't that hard, but yeah this dude killed it.
Practice. Start slow. 👍
This is the first song (and video, thanks) I learned on bass. 1 year later, being able to play songs like Spirit of Radio, this still cramps my fingers, and it's still one of my favorites :)
That's awesome!
Nice job on one of the poppinest bass lines of that era.
I like to turn it up when the song starts to fade out . That's were the good stuff is . Because the players think the track is done so they are way uninhibited by that point .
God this goes so hard
This bassline has so much swagger goddamn is it a joy to play
That awkward moment when this is literally the easiest Stevie wonder song on the Songs in the Key of Life album LOL
it's easy but it's daaaaamn good too!!
It may be easy af but oooo it’s groovy 😂😤
whats your point moron
@@wtfusheeple5383 That Songs in the Key of Life is a difficult album to play?
@@wtfusheeple5383 Clearly that the entire album is very difficult to play, highlighted by the fact that even the “easiest” song is difficult.
Thanks for this. This is the first time I've ever had to use a You Tube video to transcribe a bass line. That middle part has so many chromatic notes, it was impossible for me to work out! Totally crazy! Whoever came up with that is a genius. Very helpful! Rock on!
Same! Oh my goodness
The guy who came up with this bass line was Nathan Watts....he played on a bunch of studio stuff for Stevie
1:08 the bass does something crazy right there. That's the part I wanted to see played ☹
...is just a slide on the G string all the way up to the octave of Ab and a pull off to the flat 7
Same here
Sounds super crazy due to the fact that it's a fretless probably. But yeah, like jachu said its pretty simple.
Same reason I came here! Such a great bass line, top to bottom...
Like jachu said but there are a few of these cool slides through the track that vary slightly but they're all up the neck on the 'G' string. I either watched or read an interview with Nate Watts some years ago about the sound he got on this track. Basically he used his Musicman (plugged straight into the desk I believe) and whacked up all the EQ on his Stingray so the sound we're hearing is essentially an overdriven recording desk (valve I assume as it sounds to cool to be solid state).
Relentless! Never stops moving. Thanks for the tabs. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Yo I just found your page. THE FUNK!!! You rock man. Soon to lose many many hours turning into a funk machine if only I didnt have a job....
Thanks for your comment .🙂
Thanks to the corona virus and being locked down, I will have a lot of free time to practice.
Haha repeat 22 times :D
Magnus Walander I freaked a little when I saw that tbh... 😅
Same. I'm glad that it's at the end.

How can a bass line be so simple yet so effective?
because its all other than simple :-)
Loved the line, great for getting good with walking lines and mastering the fretboard while also being super groovy and fun. Gotta say tho, what a beauty of an instrument, love the color
Oh i know this tune it s wild wild west !!!😁😁😁😁
Well that’s just funky. Well done, my man. Well done.
wow thanks for tabs!! pretty easy for a beginner like me to learn!! (learn how to play, not how to play cleanly and smoothly though lol but with time maybe!)
Happy to help!
I work myself into a frenzy playing this and trying to keep up. So fun so genius. Thank you Stevie and Nathan
Thank you - I now have this down perfectly EXCEPT!! What in the world are you doing at 3:25?? Can't get that for the life of me. Help please!! Great work - thanks
This is PhattyTastic. We need to add this as it drives it home
Stevie Wonder - “I Wish” Synth Bass Cover (Moog Sub Phatty) by. Emilio Rivera just copy and paste,,, Headphones a Must.
Would not be complete with out the Drums, because this piece is a Tripple Bass. As always Never play ahead or behind the Kick drum.. Stevie Wonder - I Wish - drum cover by Steve Tocco. If you are a Rock Band, and incorporate this concept (carefully) Pack The House You Will. Cheers
Romans 10:9
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the, you will be saved.
Looks like a tiring baseline to play, I've never given it a go myself. Saw it played live once. But looks achievable to the intermediate bass guitarist.
Awesome cover! Thanks for sharing with us!
Thank you for watching.
This cover is great and all but please count off at least. I dont wanna have to guess where the song is gonna start
Awesome 👍 I just subbed . This oughta keep me busy for a while
learning this song for an audition thank you so much
Learning this but I'm trying to do it mostly all stretch with no shifting😂😂
excellent as always. It took me a few months with your help to get up to full speed. Thanks!

What was that crazy move at 3:34 ???
... But you *hear* it at 3:52 ? How'd he *DO* that?
I think you are missing the 16th ghost notes. That break is putting me off.
THAT IS AN AWESOME COVER. ONE THING. COULD YOU HAVE COUNT OFF THE BEAT?
You inspired me to play bass great work
That's awesome!
I brate moj, jel rokaš i dalje?
I’m currently working on this cover. So helpful to watch you playing this. Nicely done!
Awesome! Thank you!
Wow, I inspire to play this one day, been playing less than 2 weeks. Looks like lots of set patterns there, but some quick moves. Think practicing scales first will help with that one!
Bought an amp today and over the last two weeks have about 7 hours into learning this up to the bridge at 1:43, am about 80% up to speed. Watching you play I realised I needed to watch more tutorials to rid me of my flying fingers and keeping all fingers on strings rather than lifting, makes it so much easier to keep up. I’m still scrutinising your playing until I crack this 😊
Awesome, thanx dude...lovely
Thank you for watching.🙂
This was a fun learn. I wish those nothing but the best of luck who are learning this song. You got this!
Thanks for listening
@florainbass ofc! Keep up the great content 👏
i GUESS you love bruce thomas nice
Is this a song or an awesome sounding exercise?
you're as consistent as a midi track👏
Wow!!! This was awesome!!! Thanks for the tabs and amazing playing! I have to learn this to play at a gig in one week so this was VERY helpful!,,
Nice ! Smooth, a Merry Christmas to you and Thank you 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Happy holidays!
I think your sink is a bit out...but great!
UA-cam notifications are blocking the tab view, esp when I pause it and write it down. Very hard to see in this manner. It's not the creator's fault but UA-cam's.

@@florainbass Thanks!
i really need to this tab how i need to do???
you missing licks at 1:40 (6-4-6, repeats) but close
he is probably keeping in mind it's for people not as good as him
That and a few of the crazy slides on the track. My only complaints really, beside that it's really good :D
Nice job I can see you put in the work.
Thank you.
Immediately subscribed. You're now inspiring me to learn bass guitar
Nuff love and respect from Jamaica, and continue putting out vids
Thanks for subscribing
My man you gotta bounce more!
Don't you hate when you practice a song a hundred times then figure out you're playing some part wrong, but it sounded good to you ?.
So now, dop I correct myself or just go with what I was feeling the first time ?. I guess it's about accuracy during a cover.
Is it just me or are the tabs ridiculously small? And in the wrong place. If you try to pause, the bottom of the screen gets covered. If you try to zoom, the tabs are cropped. Can't somebody do these with tabs I can see?
I wish, really...
how to create the tabs sir?
create tabs with guitar pro
after I play tabs file (.gpx) with Go PlayAlong
and I capture them with Bandicam
Thanks for your video, man! I will record a video about this music too, and your video teach me to how to play! Greetings
I found this video yesterday and have just got the hang of it, thanks!
Working this up on tuba right now, hardest part is finding space to take a breath!
Really cool transcription, have to play this as a stand in tomorrow so really cool and quick way to pick it up.
I do disagree a bit with your positioning, you can have this whole bassline within the first position if you utilize all 4 strings.
But still, nice playing.
Also, the key is Eb minor, right?
Just discovered your channel, subscribed straight away. Good shit, brother!
That was alot of fun!
Thanks easter bunny!
Wiky wiky wah, wiki wah
Please put up a version of “Loves in Need of Love Today” what a terrific album
Thanks man, makes me want to practice more 👍.
Got the notes down, but can't build the speed without stumbling
florainbass
muchas gracias por tu tiempo
con gusto
Thanks for the tabs, I play this with no problem. I am learning "what's going on" by Marvin gaye. I am halfway finished , thanks for bass tabs.
Who ever this bass guitar cover thumbs down is straight up hataz.
YES! My one regret is not continuing my bass guitar lessons.
But its from Stevie Wonder
I listened as palm muted. Did you play muted by only left hand?
Well done ....Nathan Watts ....sounds E flat minor in the original ?
Grazie 😊😊👍👍👍👍
goes to the bridge with a cromatism to Bb don´t do the same notes as in the verse
I really need to build up some calluses. My fingers...
But it was worth it. Such a fun line to play!! Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
