I'm an American soldier (since 2010) and a former Philippine Army soldier (1996-2007).
My high respect to all comrades in arms. You have my snappy salute! Sa totoo lang mas mahirap ang training diyan sa Pinas (mas 1. brutal, 2. mahaba/matagal, 3. kulang sa pagkain, 4. kulang sa kagamitan).
Facts comparison:
USMC Recruit training is 12 weeks. PHI Marine Basic school is 8 months.
US Army Ranger 'School' is 62 days. US Army Ranger 'Assessment and Selection' prog. is 8 weeks.
While the PHI Army Scout Ranger Operation Course training is 8 Months + more during 'Test Mission' against REAL enemies. (Wala silang totoong Test Mission katulad ng sa FSRR bago maka graduate). Meron sila dati sa 'RECONDO' pero tinanggal na kc merong nasusugatan at namamatay noong Vietnam war era.
Kahit saan man sila mag set up ng detachment or temporary camp meron palaging portable kasilyas/kubeta. Merong supply sa tubig, hand sanitizer, sunblock, etc. Habang sa Pinoy talagang pure 'Survival'.
That's my honest and humble experiences. Kaya dapat ipagmamalaki ninyo ang mga Pinoy Warriors.

Iba ang training ng pinas at amerika ..mtibay tlaga ang pinoy wlng mchine2x eh...ktawan tlaga ngagamit sa training .. bhira nlng ang duwag na marines ngaun ..grabe saludo tlga ako sa knla. Gusto ko mg training nto..

Been there in the 76 , as recruits,of GHQ, and then to be train by the PHIL, MARINES. At Sangley, man o man , for almost two hours, in the reception. Some of my batch, did collapsed,and then me too ! Honestly ,I hated our DI. Specially, the young, di as ,they have too much strength and stamina .the magic stick, the magic Balon,at the back of the mess hall, PT,the marching song ,step of fancy drill.
The graded, target shooting of m16, hand combat, and in two months later on , we muster out ,our strength, and stamina, THENCE, we can run faster and sometime, few time we can out run our DI. Comes graduation, not few of us ,she'd, a mild tears,as our DI, congratulated each of us ?
Assignment, spread us out, truely from the shore's of distant Appari trough the beach of TawiTawi,we are proud to be RP Marines , fighting for our country.. !now retired , and still proud about my training with the RPMarines.🐂.

As an American soldier and a former Philippine Army soldier, also a Law Enforcement officer in Alaska my great advices are:
1.) Avoid creating unwanted attention. 2.) Observe everything around. 3.) Be a team player. 4.) Don't quit / Never give up.

I remember myself training under CAT on High School and the ROTC on college days. "What You See, What You Hear - Just Leave It There". Dapat wlang camera, ok lang cguro kung may nagkukuwento kung anong meron sa loob. Some may think it's so cruel pero it's a part of the training and if you finished it - you'll feel great.

this is a normal reception of physical, emotional and mental training to become a marine....if u cannot get used to it, join the other branch of service not the marines....theres no excuses of being a marines either a man or a woman.....all are trained equally on the basic school, the basic marine training course.....remember marines dont want to lose a comrade in the battle.....if one marine will be a burden the whole unit will be in trouble for they will never left behind the fallen comrades.....even in the brink of losing their own lives.....thats THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE MARINES.....
kahit naman sa other branch of service ganyan din kc sakop ng AFP under superbision nya ang Army,Navy,Air Force..tradition na yan sa military kahit saan ka pumunta.We are not competing with Marines because we are in one organiztion in AFP.Lahat ng training programs ay galing sa General Headquarters,AFP ndi puwede mag implement ang isang lower unit (Army,Marines,Navy or Air Force) ng training na hindi saklaw ng nakakataas, the AFPor DND.
