The Sleeping Beauty castle in Disneyland Paris will get a major refurbishment, which will start in January 2021 and will be completed before the 30th anniversary in April 2022.
Le château de la Belle au bois dormant de Disneyland Paris fera l'objet d'une rénovation majeure, qui débutera en janvier 2021 et s'achèvera avant le 30e anniversaire en avril 2022.

I really hope that the castle gets a paint job similar to the one they did to Disneyland in 2019, with vibrant pinks and blues. I wouldn't want to add the sparkly stars on the rooftops, I think that would be too much. But I definitely want to see this castle look more saturated because the colours look very muted. They look like the colours from Shanghai's castle.

Do any of you know when it will be completed? I was planning to go in August of this year (if all goes well) but I don't really want to go if the castle is covered :(

It's gonna be finished before the 30th anniversary in April 2022, so most likely January or February of 2022. Sorry you won't be able to get your perfect photo...

Unfortunately the planning is that the refurbishment will be finished sometime before April 2022. So it is unlikely that it will be completed before August, sorry.. 😞 Besides that, I know for sure you will have an amazing trip!

I thought it opened 1992, not 1990...!?

The park itself opened op April 12th 1992. However, the castle was installed earlier around 1990🏰
