New Zealand is absolutely one of the best countries for hunting and fishing I definitely hoped you experienced New Zealand at it's best. In New Zealand a foreigner can hunt on public land I don't know the exact details but yeah it is kind of neat if you did want to experience mountain hunting for tahr, chamois, red deer and fallow deer.
I remember the 22-250 savage I used when I was 15 I dropped a 13 point at 305 yards with a Hornady V-Max 😂the top of the bucks head exploded like a stick of dynamite and nitro everyone in my neighborhood was pissed because I quote-unquote ruin the trophy now that I'm 23 and use a 30-06 life gotten easier for split Bambi's head open with the same one round still using the same kind of Hornady V-Max round all I can say is that it is mind blowing what a varmint round can do to a 200 pound deer
Hey, Mark and team! Wow, what a totally unexpected pleasure it was to meet you guys on this hunt while glassing for stags that morning! Your video turned out great -- well done! If you'd like to see the video we did of that day and the following days, here it is: ua-cam.com/video/vMTMYbAazQ8/v-deo.html
@@wolfferguson1293 Sure i know about the Doc Land whitetail near Glenorchy. I realise the deer on this video are on private land, i was just wondering if there is a deer fence around the place, since that big red stag definitely did not look free range.
Whether the dial up is set to MoA or custom done for the rifle load in yards, ie you range an animal at 320yds, then just set the dial to 320 and shoot, rather than going to a drop chart to see what 320 is in moa and setting it
Its a CDS dial on the Leupold Scope. As it comes from the factory the dial will be in .25 MOA increments, You can also order a custom dial for them and the increments would be set to yards.
Heck of a deer Mark! I had no idea New Zealand had white tails
Pretty sweet, huh? I highly recommend everyone to experience hunting in NZ.
Theybwere introduced in 1905
great camera work never saw the deer fences even once
They have whitetail in New Zealand

It was definitely an experience and I look forward to returning again. Stay tuned for more video releases coming soon from my travels there.
Dude whitetails in new Zealand is nuts!!!! I had no idea!!
Pretty crazy, huh? Great adventure to mark off for any real whitetail hunter!
Theyre tame deer behind a fence, not wild. This guy is a clown 🤣

That looked a challenge. For a real test try hunting free range whitetail on Stewart Island.
Thank you! I'll look into that.
Great hunt looks like a U,P MI buck.

Thanks Scott for the message, great meeting you as well.
That’s a Very Good Whitetail for NZ
That's what I was told, too. Amazing experience.
Are they free range whitetail or is it in a big pen?
Free range, there is 2 public land herds and 1 private land herd. This looks to be the private herd

@serverIan763 This is filmed inside a high fence. The poor deer was waiting for them to hand feed it some grain when he shot it
Not all the private land Glenorchy White Tail are behind high fence, but I agree that Red Stag looked like an Estate Stag for sure.@@MadKeenHunter
Im confused what he meant when he said is it set to yardage or moa?

Please don't kill the wild animals, think yourself is the deer.and the haven't weapons.😢
