Croix-Rousse: The bohemian area of Lyon, France

This area includes a maze of leafy areas and neighborhoods overlooking the city of Lyon. The area used to be inhabited primarily by workers in weavers’ workshops. Monuments include the Mur des Canuts mural which includes a scene of silk weavers at work. There is also the the Maison des Canuts museum and the Roman theater.
