Nancy Park Yes...It can get unbearable at times. I try wearing the most light weight styles I can find. That’s one thing I love about January. Gabor has incredibly light weight caps/styles as well but I’ve had difficulty finding a Gabor style that I can love. Fortunately, I’m a nurse, work nights, so I’m rarely out in the heat of the day. Beach time is a problem for me. Haven’t found anything except hats(which I don’t like), or scarves which are almost as hot as wigs! What is your experience?
Maranda Rock You have more experience than I do. I’m exploring and putting my toes in the water, so the speak. I’ve been losing my hair since 2002, and I tried not to think about, until I went into menopause. Now, I don’t feel like myself with so much hair loss, and feel like I want to give the wigs a try. I am feeling like I can trust these 2 women, and can get educated by them, before I make a purchase. I have pepper and salt-ish, Sugar Licorice hair. I do like January too. I’ m concerned about the heat, like you said, but I don’t stay out much. I’m hoping this might change that. Thanks for your reply!!🙂

You both look great in both colors! Misty, I have been going grey gracefully, never dying my hair. I’d love to see more “Sugar Licorice” similar color wigs, from many companies. It seems there aren’t a lot of Pepper & Salt wigs, if you get my point. Many women I see are in this phase.

Hey Kim & Misty! The dark Chic Shot looks awesome on you both! I love the side swept bang. Which side does it naturally go across out of the box? It looks like it swings to the right & the part is on the left. I does it come in rooted softer brown shades, or maybe with warm or cool highlights? I wonder if an average cap would be snug enough for my head shape? I have to try to find a wig shop here somewhere to try some on. Y'all always look amazing! You matched in color & style! Yes it parts to the right straight out of the box. It all depends on the size of your head as to whether it fits you or not. Yes, it does come in other color tones as well. :)
Colleen Giese Many people thin their own”front”, or hairline. There’s no limit to what can be done to/with wigs. Theses ladies are one of many who are able to customize almost any wig, in any shape,form,or fashion. There’s even a little comb like device for sale on Amazon that you place up against the front hairline of a wig, and it helps to “guide” when plucking, or making the hairline more realistic. Just like everything else, wigs have to be researched, practiced on, and with a healthy dose of courage you can achieve any look out there. I’m sure MiMi’s can handle those hairline issues when they customize a wig. It would be lots easier if they came that way(for some people), but one style fits all is rare, so customizable pieces are our best bet. Thank goodness we have very talented people who can help out with tips, tricks, and styling with wigs!!!
It looks like a totally different wig on each of you, but Kim’s face is a lot longer so it looks much shorter on her. Misty just has a cute little doll face and everything looks good on her!

No, it doesn't have permatease. The Ignite is only lace front and the Chic Shot is lace front and monofilament top.

How do you store your wigs?
You can put them on stands, vases, empty wine bottles, hair spray cans. Anything to keep them from getting crimped up.
