I've considered running a Galaxy Quest campaign where the movie is the introduction to the setting. Instead of a time machine they have a drift drive that breaks down, but not before altering the players into what they created at character creation. Getting them then swept up in faction warfare would just make it easier.
@@TheMapleTable the party has changed since we began, but when we started, all of my players were Android soldiers. I really like the concept of death for Androids. It seems that death is a bit of an altruistic and selfless concept for Androids.
Ooooooo gimme those faction deats! Love it. I have been heavily debating getting more into this system and you're making a solid case with these videos.
Thanks dude, I have been watching what you do and I want to take some inspiration for a section on these factions and how to use them. Starfinder always needs more players!
I love the broad videos that you have (as a new player it helps me a lot) and than I pick the fact that I look and go to see if you create a deep dive on the topic (up to now you did for all that I like, thank you)
Thanks for the lore videos! Very informative and helpful. Can you do a video speaking about the megacorps of Starfinder? I tend to run my homebrewed SF campaign more closely themed to Shadow run/Cyberpunk and more details on the nefarious corporations would be great.
Me looking at Abadarcorp for the first time: Oh so they are a megacoporation, so they value money and commerce. Always me few lines in the manual after: and a church of the God of wealth. So they have ceos or priests? My silly brain like instant after the question: figures a high priest whit a ceo suit and a mace size credistick as an aspersory. Also me: both XD Anyway good vid Nath. I would like to see a more deep analysis on the knights of golarion and the infernal knights. Both are the an order of knights and both fight for order and giustice but they do this in a very opposite way that often brings this two faction in truces.
Waaaaait a second. Are your saying the Starfinder Society is NOT just a unwashed horde of "murder hobos"?
keep up the good work
Weeeeell, lets not get to far ahead of ourselves

I think a deep dive on the Android Abolitionist Front would be cool. My group is obsessed with Androids.
I will add them to the list, androids are a really cool concept. They lend well to the SciFi aesthetic and cyberpunk too :D

I want to be in the explorer faction!!
So if you ever run a campaign with me in it, bear that in mind :D
Another fascinating video :)
Duly noted good sir
Hellknights in my Starfinder campaign are basically Judge Dredd!
I dont think this is incorrect for them, other then being able to be bought.
@@TheMapleTable I AM!... THE LAW!!! 🤣
Just discovered your channel recently, loving these Starfinder videos. Would be cool to see a video on the Unseen. Keep up the good work!

How about Crime Syndicates and their leaders?
Nice! I just realized I was mixing up Xenowardens with Exo-Guardians doh!
Lol this is why these videos exist! Helps to keep them all straight in your mind. Helps me too
Please deep dive into the SFS Factions, the current Faction leaders and their agendas.
Will do, expect to see more of them from me

I thought abadarcorp was interesting :p priests are CEOs. Thanks for the input and I'll add them to the list.
Can you dig into the Hell Knights lore a bit more?
Ill add them to the list.
Fun fact: "Factions" spelled backwards is "snoitcaF"
The more you know!
@@TheMapleTable you know... I try
Acquisitives !!!! Please lol
Why not just make subsentient androids?
Did you know Hasbro owns Abadarcorp? ;) Sorry I had too.
I was thinking... Starfinder also has the Devourer... A god that seeks destruction of all
