the end of the vid where the guy is walking and notices the guy on the ground, he realizes it's someone he served with, and he tries to help him, but the guy I guess tries to fight him off bc he thinks he's trying to hurt him or PTSD or something, but then he says 'you know me. You saved my life ,brother. It's okay' and then they leave together. I interned at a place called Stop Soldier Suicide where veterans and their fam would call us and ask for assistance (med., mh, financial, food, housing, etc.) and we would look up resources for them in their area (we were the only office and so we were getting calls from all across the country)

I appreciate from the bottom my heart that you took the time out of your day to do this reaction and support the armed services. I had serviced during the 9/11 era and did my time on the streets as well and I did bounce back from it on my own. You find out how many doors are closed when you really need them opened. I salute every single service man and woman active or veteran. The main organization I know of thats legit is the Wounded warrior project. Again thank you and keep up the great work.

Army veteran here. In 2010 I was severely wounded in Iraq and came home with loads of issues and struggles. The Wounded Warrior Project was instrumental in helping me on my journey to return to life. They gave me the resources and help that i needed to not only learn how to walk again but how to return to civilian life and cope with my mental and physical injuries. If you are looking for a vet org to donate I highly recommend them. Some of us have scars that don't show and this video sheds light on it and the 22. (avg amount of vets we lose a day). Thank you for showing this and thank you for showing love to those who have served.

I did 11 years and went over to the gulf many times. My PTSD issues helped destroy my family and rip my entire life to shreds. I literally had to start over from scratch my life in my 30s. I didn't even realize my issues because I thought everybody felt like I did. Thankfully I got help through the DAV and got some counseling. I'm still a mistake away from being homeless, this problem is real. For how long we've been in a war state, this could really effect our future.

I’m a veteran also. It was kind of a family tradition my grandfathers were both in Vietnam one navy one marine corps. My uncle was in the Air Force and reached the rank of E-9 before being medically discharged when he was diagnosed with cancer. My stepdad was NG and served in Iraq in 05 and 08 before being wounded by a IED and suffering a TBI . I enlisted knowing the risks but wanting to serve my country and I went through basic and AIT in the summer of 2012 finishing in Oct and as soon as I reported to my unit I was given deployment orders for Afghanistan. I left in Jan 13 just five days after my oldest daughter was born. It’s a amazing thing getting to serve and create those bonds nobody else understands. The willingness to lay down your life for the guy next to you that you’ve only known for a few months and knowing they’d do the same for you. I’d do it all over again in a second! A buddy I served with posted this and it hit me hard:
Nobody loves a warrior until the enemy is at the gates but when the threat is dealt with we are cast aside.
The message this song conveys needs to be blasted from the rooftops. We lose so many of our veterans. Even lost a few brothers myself, this all has to change. 🇺🇸💙

Messengers For Homeless Vets is a group in Volusia County Florida that gets our veterans off the streets and helps pay their rent if they are behind to keep them from becoming homeless .
We operate off community funding only . 100percent of what we raise goes to the veterans we help . Hand up , not a hand out!

I love the passion that the American people have for the Vetrans and serving, it's so sad to say but I honestly don't see that in Britain / UK, I have been a Civillian for 8 years now and its so hard to adapt to the so called normal aspects of life ie running a house working with individuals with no core values etc, I had a saying that was over used when I left the Military " life was so much easier when all you had to do is stay alive".
I'm a Vetran of 22 years service in the British Army, I have seen active service in Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan and United Nation peace support operations.
It's fair to say I watch this and it hits hard, so many accuracies attached to this video and many more like it.
I would like to take this opertunity to thank my amazing Daughter for standing by me and giving me a reason to come home, this young lady grew up with me serving so she has sacrificed and shown selfless commitment for the greater good too, I love you so much and thank you for being you my amazing Daughter.
I'm proud to have served my family, country and SOME of the good people within it, I would also like to state that my service was all combat based and I served with heros, my Brothers and Sisters respect to you and I love you all.
    Nigel.

I think this is really cool you’re doing this. That’s great you wanna react to something in honor of veterans for Veterans Day. Even before you did this video, I thought it might be cool to see you try reacting to something like this. There’s a song I think you should consider. I don’t know if this is one other people said when you asked about songs for veterans or not, but I think you should do the song “One” by Metallica. It’s based on a movie/book called Johnny Got His Gun which is about a guy who went to war and was a victim of a landmine explosion that took his limbs and most of his senses since it left his face disfigured. He lost his arms, legs, sight, speech, and hearing. So he’s just a living torso and head, he’s tied up to machines in a hospital keeping him alive. Everyone thinks he’s brain dead but he’s actually fully conscious and can’t communicate it with everyone and so he starts losing his mind. It’s pretty messed up. It’s meant to show the horrors of war, and the guy is a war veteran who’s being mistreated. It’s a pretty emotionally raw song, I’d be interested in seeing you react to it. For a lot of channels who react to predominately Hip-Hop, when they start branching out into other genres, this is often one of the first ones they end up doing. I know you said in another video you watched No Life Shaq’s videos because of people who said you do similar reactions. I think that song was like the first non-Hip-Hop song he started with, or at least one of the first ones.
But even if you don’t, it’s cool. Once again, that’s really great you’re honoring veterans this way.

I know this is an old reaction video but as a 6 year Army veteran this hits so close to home. When this video came out I was dealing with the struggles of life of losing my family and was a homeless veteran. I think one of the reasons the divorce rate is so high has to do with all the mental health issues most suffer from and readjustment back into the civilian population . I spent over 2 years homeless and fighting to get some kind of normalcy back into my life. I only recently got my first apartment this past Apr. The sacrifices made for this country by my brothers and sisters is so unappreciated by the people that have the power to change it. Stop failing the people that fight for your freedoms and sacrifice everything.
Thank You To ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. Your sacrifice matters.

All the organizations are legitimate. Someone mentioned Gary Sinise Foundation. Gary played Lt. Dan in Forest Gump. His character loses both legs up to above the knees. His Lt. Dan is like the soldiers in the video angered, frustrated. Lt. Dan wanted to die on the battlefield in Vietnam but Forest saved him. If you know the film, Forest wad looking for his best friend, Bubba. Gary along with his costar, Tom Hanks always supported veterans. 5FDP always doing things for our veterans besides bringing awareness to our veterans. There is another song by 5FDP about our veterans. But this song is about survivor remorse. Song is "Gone Away" Originally song is from another band named Offspring about drug addiction. You will see the difference in versions. Bring Tissues.

Idk if you'll see this bc it's been a while since you posted. N idk if you get alerts or go back thru your comments. But as a USMC Vet, recently medically retired for some of the very same reasons listed in this video, I have been thru almost every struggle in this video. No I'm not homeless. But. I relate on so many levels. And I agree something needs to change. I vowed to help my brothers and sisters when I got out by becoming a PTSD therapist. And i plan to start a nonprofit to homeless in a HUGE way that will be an insane help to our vets. Thanks for reacting. I know someone somewhere needed to know that ppl do care and appreciate the sacrifices made by the select few.
