As mentioned earlier, you cannot play audio from the radio back to the phone. Also, the app uses your phone's font size setting for what's displayed. If you really want the app's display numbers not to run together, you'll have to decrease your phone's font size setting.
Tom both my Raddy RF919 and ZhiWhis A320 use that app and I never been able to stream audio via Bluetooth either. The only radio I have that can stream audio is my ATS120 but is doesn’t have an app to control the radio remotely….can win for losing. An idea for a remote control radio streaming is to use a SDR such as the RTL/SDR or Airspy HF+, SPRPLAY R1SPA via a Bluetooth keyboard or set up you phone to stream audio that way they have apps for controlling your computer via your phone. 73! Have a great day.
A hack might be to hook the radio up (via the headphones jack) to an FM micro-transmitter, that you can buy to use with car radios. Then use the phone's FM radio app to receive and play back the audio on a clear frequency. That could be a workaround. Good luck!
Two extra thoughts - Bluetooth does poorly over larger distances, so hopefully it would reach. Though if it does reach you could play the audio back through any FM receiver, and with a decent speaker you would get improved sound!
@@paulnortham Thanks. I was thinking of that and I do have a transmitter somewhere. As I remember the range was very limited as you mentioned plus the battery life was short. Thanks again and have a great day.
@@hamrad88Tbh, I thought you might have already considered it! I'm using my FM transmitter for lots of things at the moment. Such as getting audiobooks into multiple rooms for my children to listen to. Result! Keep up the good work - really enjoy your channel!
I looked into this with my RF75A that uses the same app. Neither the Raddy website product descriptions, the radio manuals nor the app manual say you can play the radio through your phone. None of the Bluetooth radios can connect to a phone to use it as a wireless speaker. I have half a dozen devices that can play through wireless speakers, none of which can play through a phone. The closest things would be a radio like the XHDATA D-109 that can remotely answer a phone call. The limitation could be your phone or the radio, but probably both.
Hi Tom,. I think this is not a particular problem of your paired devices, I mean, BT app connection between your 757 and phone. To play music from your 757 to your phone, you need to have an "audio bluetooth device connection" and what raddy have included is a remote bt operation, but not a real streaming audio device from your radio to any other external speaker. Pretty sure that this could be the problem you have , ...
