Thank you for your content, Brad! I'm a new subscriber with similar aspirations as yours. I just started my woodworking small business and would like to get into creating content, but it seems so overwhelming when I'm working so hard to just create projects on the side while working a full time corporate job to save seed money for my small business and raising a family. The video production seems daunting when building a project already takes so much time as it is!
I understand that getting the hang of content creation while building furniture to sell and drawing in subscribers won't happen overnight, but I'm hoping to get some tips and tricks to make life easier in content creation. I would love to see a video, or series, of behind the scenes/tutorials of your process, from planning a project and corresponding video all the way through post-production, publishing and promoting.

@@Fixthisbuildthat Cam has been a big inspiration for me too since joining the "quit my good job that I hated" club last May at 36. So it's cool to see him comment here. All I ever cared about is making and fixing stuff. Now I find your channel through your vinyl flooring videos, since that's where I'll be at shortly with my old country church-to-house renovation. That's been ongoing for years, and part of why I quit was that it was becoming clear that I'd never be able to finish it and also work full time. So now it's getting done and this is the hardest my life's ever been. I think that means I'm doing something right.

Brad, I want to thank you for this video. It is a real eye opener. I'm 37, married with kids, and work as an automotive engineer in the corporate word. We moved to a new state for my job and bought an older home. Like you wanted to save money so I started doing my own remodels. After struggling with some of them, I come across your channel. Because of you and the content you provide, I have been able to really find a love with working with wood and my hands. My kids are also getting involved and enjoying it. I just want to say thank you again. Your a real inspiration, and I hope I can take the leap of faith like you did to do what you love and to be able to spend more time with the family.

Congrats, I love this channel! You caught my eye when I couldn't find a set of drawers to fit under my desk and had the storage I needed. I decided to make them. The cost was a lot higher than expected given that my only tool at the time was a drill/driver. I saw your drill press stand video and drawer making techniques and was amazed! I drew up my own set of plans for the dimensions but watched your videos over and over. As a mathematician, I love your precision, accuracy, clean lines, and mistakes. Your neatness OCD comforts me because I, too, hate dust! I've since built a set of nightstands (modeled after your coffee table) and have upped the ante to a complete demo/remodel of my bathroom! I watch some of your videos on repeat just for fun! The excitement in the secret compartment/drawer videos was contagious. Thanks for the content and keep it coming!!

Brad I love this. My grandfather was a carpenter and I spent many afternoons in his shop with him. As an engineer that's nearing 40, your story is definitely a relatable one and one to celebrate. I'm done trying to climb the corporate ladder and have started focusing more of my time on building and fixing things also. Congratulations! I was able to be involved in my sons life while he grew up with a working lifestyle that allowed me to be involved in school functions, I made less income but talking to many guys that said they missed all those things and wish they had done things differently leaves me with no regrets.

I love this video and your story so much Brad! You have inspired and taught so many of us both how to fix this and build that, but also how to be a content creator and also be a part of this great maker community. It's funny when you mentioned all your "other" videos - I discovered you from your DIY image transfer video, tried it on my brand new IG account and you commented on my video and that blew my mind! From there I found the podcast, etc... Anyways, sorry for the novel, but just wanted to say thank you and congratulations!!!

You produce some great videos and I’m a big fan of your channel and seeing all of your builds. Again a big congratulations.

This resonates so much! We bought our dream home in January 2020 and we’ve not had a huge amount to do but because of your work on UA-cam and that of Bob Claggett and others we’ve been inspired to do 90% of the work ourselves. Building a massive wall bolted deck suspended over a pond, flooring, bathroom renos, all the ideas and basics have come from you guys.
So much has the garage tool inventory expanded that I’ve HAD to start doing woodwork metal work and fixing friends cars on the side just to keep em in use 😂
