For croup, You want to use cool air humidifiers! The cold air makes croup better! So weird that croup is treated opposite. We have had plenty of croup in our house!

It is so sad and depressing feeling when your baby get sick and there isn't anything you can do for them that you haven't done. Emery has had croup so many times that I can't even count anymore. Aubree gets it now every time she gets a cold but so far not as bad as Emery has been. Warm mist might be okay if they are super congested but COOL mist is way better, croup is swelling in the upper airway and the cool air and mist brings down the swelling of the airway. Emery almost always requires a hospital trip for steroids and nebulizer but we always try the cool night air first. I had Namonia ( how is it is spelled? XD ) and it was the worst! I was in third grade ( now im in fifth ) and I had to miss a fun activity because of it. Everytime i coughed really hard you could hit me and i could of made music. It was the worst! Im sick right now. Like if you care about 10 year olds.
Get well soon Ollie, it is really hard as a parent to see your child go through an illness. One things for sure, kids bounce back far more quickly than we would and little Oliver will be fine. Your great parents and he will get over this for sure, give him a gentle hug from me and try not to let it get you too stressed Missy, your baby boy bump needs his mommy to be well and chillaxed. Its a popular food in America, it's a hotdog on a stick that been wrapped in a layer of a corn like bread that's deep fried and its amazing cause it's not American If it's not deep fried! (I'm American btw)

My microbiology and immunology professor told us that there is not much you can do for croup other than put your child in cold air to help the coughing. I know since you guys live in Cali so you don't have cold air outside so maybe the cold humidifier could help? Of course do what feels right to you! I had pneumonia in late 2014. I ha sit in my whole right lung. I we t to PsR Monday night was shaking like bacon how cold I was and I didn't go to school for the rest of the week cause o had pneumonia. It sucked so bad I could barely breathe or eat 😔 love you Ollie ur in my prayers feel better!

Don't give Ollie milk! It's causes a build up of more phlegm! Juice or water is better for him at the moment ☺️ get well soon Ollie!! ❤️
