Hello Reptile, I'm a E2 Vayne OTP. I've been trying to poke enemy laners with Q, but I always seem to get out-traded... Most of the lanes I play against beat me immensely in range, e.g. Ashe+Senna, or Cait+Xerath, or Jhin+Xerath. It feels like that even if I take a small step towards the enemy looking for a Q + AA, I just get chunked back. This also happens with lanes with shorter range but shields/speedups, e.g. Twitch+Lulu or MF+Zilean.
Should I just not attempt the poke in these lanes? How do you deal with this situation? Thanks!
You should only look to tumble forward if the enemy is locked in auto anination try to tumble in a way where enemy support is max range but ur still in range to auto their adc and yes sometimes its hard to tumble forward in these type of lanes you basically rely on enemies misspositioning for you to find a window to pull this off
Play opposite side of wave of enemy support, and focus on poking with Q when enemy adc goes to last hit minions.
