Ron it stands out that you take pride in your work, plan ahead for serviceability. Through your videos you mentor others, at some point if you have time give us some feedback on the apprenticeship classes you were giving.
Thank you for putting out these videos, I enjoy and watch ever single one and learn so much. This is coming from a guy that rewired a family room ceiling fan 4 hours before a family party to be controlled via switch separately (easy when you have conduit requirements here int he chicago suburbs). Wife didn't appreciate that too much. LOL. She's always told me I should have just been an electrician .
@@electricianron_New_Jersey Actually the King of trades is Carpentry, without carpenters there would be no abodes in which to install all the other services, plumbing and electrics. Electrician would be the shiny crown that the King wears to proclaim his prowess of a successful project conquered 😉
Very nice, looks so much better than when it just sits on the siding.A lot of the houses i work on,they install wood siding on the exterior.i always tell g.c. or homeowner to put *blocks* for light fixtures and exterior receptacles.makes for a much more clean looking & proffesional finish.
Nice job. I do something very similar but plunge cut for the entire block to go flush against the exterior siding. Metal drip edge at top with j-channel all around.
Hey Ron... Great channel from a true Jersey guy! I have a EE degree and I love doing my own electrical work, always trying to follow the code. I have learned so much from you, especially tricks of the trade that I look forward to using. We share a love for hockey... Played and coached for most of my life until my knees scrapped out and now my son and grandson are taking over. We also share a love for dogs.. We have a great Yellow Lab named Jersey. Have only one concern.... Did I see an Islander banner in one of your videos at your home? Shame on you, Ron! Haha. Go Devs!
Great Job Ron.... But I have a two part question... and is in reference to the test you did in checking for pierced wire with a multi-meter... 1 ) where did you place your multi leads for verification? 2.) And what should one expect to see if such an occurrence happens?
@@electricianron_New_Jersey thanks Ron for your feedback. Luckily I installed a motion sensor in the soffit and can tap the sw leg to feed the wafers. I can’t get a wire to the opposite side wall for a second sconce etc.your custom wall plate is great. Love the extra detail you added
hi Ron, excellent video as always. this is actually something i need to do on my house. Question for you, do you caulk around the perimeter of the board to prevent bugs/moisture from getting in? Or have you ever just cut out the exact size of the board out of the siding and put the board up against the plywood sheeting? I'm trying to figure out what would look best on my house.
Great video, I like the attention to detail. Thanks for sharing.
Great job Ronnie ❤

Thanks Ron. My garage is similar but with only one light. I’m thinking of adding two wafers in the soffit. And particular brand that you use.
