I know nowhere are the differences greater than in America ! I know that 'l know' is not the best known song by The Other Half but the bluesy garage waltz fits perfectly with the video that shows the contrasts in society ! Thank you hbo
The Other Half's music was heavily influenced by the Yardbirds and the Rolling Stones. Guitarist Randy Holden previously played in the Sons Of Adam and afterwards in Blue Cheer. It's worth delving into this guy.
Hi Edwin , not forgetting his solo career , his first released album 'Population ll' was one of the first that invented doom metal ! He's still active . Greetings
Ugly Things magazine had a great article on Randy a couple years ago. On this song, you really hear the influence of Jeff Beck; the amped-up, quasi-raga/eastern chords that he’s playing.
@@brucedunkle9136 Thanks for your addition regarding Randy's guitar playing! It is indeed very catchy and distinctive! It immediately adds a psychedelic dimension to the otherwise very good song. I'll see if that magazine is available online somewhere. Greetings!
HBO ! Another great vid, two songs I thought you could do justice to are: Truly Right by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (it came out 67’) and In my Dream by The Action 🤩 No pressure, just know you’ll give them the masterclass videos they deserve👍🏻 Let me know what you think

100% garage
Reminds me a little of The Turtles' "Grim Reaper of Love." Love these wonderful obscurities and the accompanying visuals!

Unpolished, unadulterated garage.
