We go off road in the Rocky Mountains, on some of our favorite Colorado Jeep trails, to show our friends what wheeling is like at 13,000 feet of elevation!
I've been wheeling all over the Rockies since 1974 and never grow tired of it. What blows your mind is to think that most of the trails we ride today were built and occupied for decades by animal and human muscle power...miners, mules, oxen...a much tougher breed than any of us could ever claim to be! Great scenery..enjoy your trip!
Even if you don't want to do serious wheeling, this whole area is incredible! Go to Durango and take a ride on the train to Silverton and back in early October. Drive to Ouray, Telluride, Montrose, Black Canyon, the Great Dunes. I promise you will not be disappointed. I was sent to Montrose for business in the mid 90's. Red Mountain Pass was the first mountain road I had ever driven in my life, and it was amazing! I drove all the way Durango and back in one afternoon after work. Insanely beautiful scenery around every turn. Met a shop keeper in Ridgway. He was from California. He came to the San Juans on a vacation several years prior and literally never went home. He arranged to sell his house and move his personal belongings to Ridgway and just freaking stayed there!
Just Jeeped 4,400 miles in 14 days from Michigan through the Northern Plains and the Great Plains states (13 states total). Enjoyed the adventures in South Dakota the most and the scenery in Colorado the most. This video captures some of Colorado's finest views. Thanks for taking me along . . .
I’m with Luna on this - no lungs, fear of off camber and shelf roads, fear of rolling and dying; other than that, Spectacular!! Your Bronco makes my WK seem small, cramped. Nice to have y’all together in the same comfortable rig. So many giggles, so little oxygen! LiteBriteNationRealTopOfTheWorld!
The altitude is no joke! It hurt me, but I got used to it within a day. Last time I was in Colorado I brought those cans of oxygen and it really helped. They’re cheap on Amazon.
Loved the video. Ouray and the San Juans were always our favorite place to go. We have driven our 1978 CJ7 and our 1979 Jeep Cherokee both out there from Iowa back in the 1980s, went over Black Bear Pass with both of them different years and the other passes you went on in this video. We talked to Bill Fries (CW Mc Call) when he was mayor of Ouray. So many memories there. God's beautiful country!!
Born and raised in Colorado. But it’s been 50 years at least since I’ve been in Ouray. Live in Arizona now, and the only thing I miss of Colorado is its beauty.
There is also a fairly wealthy group of people that live in Telluride that are trying to close blackbear pass forever so please donate to local Colorado Jeep club so they can fight this madness. I would also like to point out they are not even from Colorado. They are the wealthy people that moved from California, New York, etc. trying to change how we do things in Colorado.
Marlon played, and sliding down the patch of ice was pretty good, definitely something I would have done! Enjoy guys,be safe but have fun, you make me wanna just grab my things and go out there, the views are phenomenal, breathtaking!
My favorite place in the US! Besides all the views, the sweet trails, and the friendly environment, the wild life up there is awesome. First trip we got blocked by thousands of sheep, and entertained by the herding dogs. Survived a Bear invasion at camp. Field varmints stole our snacks. Had a Moose try to knock us off the Mountain, but we kept coming back. It wasn't until a few trips later that I finally got to see the wild Ferrets hunting the ground squirrels. They was still black furred during the Fall Colors Run, but they change to all white for the winter. Can't wait to get back! 🤘
15:32 - And all I can think, is how awesome that would be to fly an FPV RC Wing through, a few feet above the trees, a Walksnail Moonlight and Goggles making you feel like a bird.
The big ticket passes down there are great to run. You two are amazing individuals. We were fortunate enough to go the middle of July. Thanks for sharing.
You guys need to make some "Plan Bypass" stickers. I love your Bronco and am myself a Bronco owner! I just think that's cool that Luna came up with it! It's good shit talking all in the name of fun! 🍻
I love love this beautiful beautiful place too be there 💖 I wish I could go explore like you and Kevin I'm just stuck in a power wheelchair from the stroke freaking hard life but I'm grateful for your videos fun too watch what you go and do thank you for sharing your videos
I was waiting for this video to come out. You guys passed us a few miles into the start of poukopsie gulch trail. I saw a teal bronco come up on my real fast so I pulled over and sure enough it was you guys. You were flying for sure. I was in my lj and you guys flew past us and we never saw you again until ouray where we were sitting at the brewery and saw you drive by. That's one sweet ride for sure and I figured it must ride so nice at speed where I was getting beat up in my LJ going 5mph on the trail. Have fun and beautiful bronco!
Colt from Colt builds it just had a video at this place a few videos ago..... Looks like a GREAT place to ride...... been enjoying all of these videos ya'll doing together...
Oh man, i was hoping to see how the Bronco did coming down the Ouray side of Engineer pass. It's definitely the hardest part of Engineer pass. Also, I'm not sure what you did to "Orange juice" but it sounded cute. 😂
Hey Guys we were just there in August and we did Imogene pass and we got word that the next day they closed it.... We did so much there even lake como.... Spent 9 days of wheeling there, we hope you guys and a great time and also we saw Marlon and Luna at the off road expo they drove right by our RV we were camped with Brit for the show...
Nice video been in that area several times. I live at 5,300 feet in Colorado the only way to acclimate is stay or camp at high altitude for several days. After that it's not to bad.
We were lucky to get to do all of Imogene pass the end of of August . We did it on a Monday and it was closed from Tuesday on ,but black bear as closed
Welcome to the west Coast rocky mountain range. Wait till you meet up with a tandem log truck on an access road.. eyes wide open! You are way little and Jeeps are road cones to them.
Problems with altitude is no joke. Personally I do well at altitude, but my wife has problems walking up any incline if we're over 8,000'. A few years ago our then 17 y/o grandson had to be taken to the Mammoth Lakes hospital and put on oxygen after camping overnight at 9,000'.
13,000 ft is a little bit too high for me. I'd probably suffer from altitude sickness. You'd have to be in great shape to stay at that high altitude. Happy Trails to you both and enjoy your Mexico vacation. Congrats on reaching 300k subscribers.
The passes aren't closed, just the through route to Telluride. You can get to Imogene, then just turn around and go back down to Ouray. I think the same is true for Black Bear; the trail is closed on the road down to Telluride, not on the Ouray side.
Correct. But not being able to go through (do the switch backs on Black Bear or the shelf roads on Imogene) isn’t really experiencing the trail, cause you’re missing out on some of the best parts.

Love this series! Still hoping to see Brittany do the oft-requested intro with Kevin's voice😉

Whoever is doing the drone footage is doing an awesome job.
These are the types of videos that got me following you. Do more of them please. I haven't seen anyone else that does them like this.

Watching Kevin swallowing drippy protien was awesome! Britts revenge!
Marlon and Luna have been a great addition to your family
Awesome, love it guys. Please keep the Awesome content coming

My favorite place also, that whole area is just so beautiful, yes not the hardest wheeling but you can not beat the breathtaking views.
The big ticket passes down there are great to run. You two are amazing individuals. We were fortunate enough to go the middle of July. Thanks for sharing.
Y’all are SO FANTASTICALLY good together. Might I suggest a new venture. “Nite Brite Nation with Off-road N Chill”. 👍
Absolutely stunning views. Someday maybe if my truck is ever done.
15:07 Kevin will be Robin Hood. Great video guys.
Love the bronco, its changing my mind about ifs
Wow! Awesome video quality and shots.
Love it those views so beautiful. Take care God bless.
Only half of Imogene is closed, you can still get to the summit from Ouray - Just gotta come back down the same way.
Yeah, but then you’re missing out on the shelf roads & not getting the full experience of the trail (although the Ouray side is beautiful as well)
You guys need to make some "Plan Bypass" stickers. I love your Bronco and am myself a Bronco owner! I just think that's cool that Luna came up with it! It's good shit talking all in the name of fun! 🍻

Cannot wait to get out to Ouray myself!
Stunning footage, gonna make it out there in my Bronco one day!
Great video , great views !
I was just on The alpine loop in early September and I saw your lite bright nation sticker on the engineer pass sign. I roll in my 72 Ford bronco ✌️
Best friends for life,

It’s definitely drives like a dream on the bumpy roads! Appreciate y’all letting us by! ❤️🤙
Great job again.
Beautiful trail. I would need someone following behind my YJ, to pick up the parts that rattled off.😂
Just recently moved back to durango from Oklahoma/Arkansas and got my first Jeep. Would love to catch yall on the trail sometime.
Colt from Colt builds it just had a video at this place a few videos ago..... Looks like a GREAT place to ride...... been enjoying all of these videos ya'll doing together...
SPECTACULAR!!
Luna..... You cannot see anything on the East coast for the trees! Views are worth the trip!
Great video. My dream is to visit these areas one day.

LUNA your awesome
4dr bronco=ultimate off-road party wagon
🙌
Hey Luna please do yourself a favor get rid of the energy drinks! Lack of oxygen is bad enough but the energy drink will make it worse. Love ya guys!
I'd deffinetly Join Kevins Outlaw gang!
We were lucky to get to do all of Imogene pass the end of of August . We did it on a Monday and it was closed from Tuesday on ,but black bear as closed
Thus why i live in colorado at 11,000 ft the beauty and outdoor fun
If you really want to see the San Juan's sign up for the Ouray 100. Though you'll probably want to train a little for it. 😁
So much fun

I was walking up mt Fuji a few years ago and they use tractors to drive around at 12,000 ft
14:48 The bronco doesn’t look that big on video till ya see it next to the 4Runner in the parking lot….
13,000 ft is a little bit too high for me. I'd probably suffer from altitude sickness. You'd have to be in great shape to stay at that high altitude. Happy Trails to you both and enjoy your Mexico vacation. Congrats on reaching 300k subscribers.

@@LiteBrite True... except getting up to Imogene gets your friends to over 13,000' without having to scramble up the last few feet.
Have you guys been out to Silver Jack Reservoir via Owl Creek Pass from Ridgway? The colors were on fire last weekend!
Not yet!
Poughkeepsie GULCH wall is not that difficult if you know how to pick your line. Our 2 door JK went up without squeaking a tire.
👍👍👍
Every time I go to Colorado we take BOOST Oxygen for puffs to make you feel better.
I hate shelf roads too!
22nd! Rocky Mountain “Hi” ! Never been there either. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks
👍👍😃🍺🍺
az watching
When are you going to let Luna drive the Bronco?
✌️
Next time bring some oxygen. I know may places sell it at a premium price up there
Bronco isn’t the best at anything, but it’s good at everything
Could a 4x4 sprinter make engineer pass?
No absolutely not
@@LiteBrite thanks!
Outlaw more like a sheep hearder
Brittany why you such a bully to your friends. It’s not cute
finger nails should be pink , gold , or yellow . Pay no attention to the color of your truck .
