Thank you!
Thank you for another amazing and detailed breakown! I'm loving what you guys have done with Aberrant Sorceries, they went from two extremely cool visually and lore-wise but pathetic gameplay-wise spells in vanilla to a whole new school in the mod, and one of the most unique ones at that. Melee-focused spellblade playstyle has always been my favourite. Looking forward to patch 1.4 and new class breakdowns (I personally humbly ask for Frenzy and Godskin particularly)
Quick tip: If you're running this build and want to get a bit less to manage, take the enchanted remnant and pick the... I believe it was the stalwart charm? The one that gives immunity to bleed and sleep. Makes it so you don't have to worry about the bleed buildup.
What I appreciate most about this class (and classes like this) is that it’s great without having TOO much going on. This is a thing that puts me personally off of classes like the dragon/lightning one, where you even get access to a framerate killing map nuke.
I think this might be my favorite class in the mod,I already love thorn sorceries in vanilla, and to see them get a massive rework makes me really happy
I’m playing a frost spellblade and haven’t been able to get to Caria Manor to get the apprentice spells so I’ve mostly been using the base spells + a fair few of these aberrant spells, especially the healing one. That thing is a sustain king. I might start using the telekinetic barrier more, that seems good
The sound effect on those Red Glintstone Shards is just... perfect🤌
Great class breakdown as always.
This class is extremely powerful and useful , with the hammer spell i can stunt the fire giant in 2 hit x)
This is what abberant sorcery should've been. Thank you.
Would it be possible to add an alternative version of the veil the starcaller class starts with that doesn't have the giant necklace thingy? Like some of the vanilla armor pieces that can be altered.
The briar greatmace AoS is so bad all you have to say about it is that it's cool and then you fumble it a bunch of times trying to use it 🤣
I love this class and that weapon is cool but oh boy that AoS is complete dogshit, it's just bonces off any wall on the first swings, takes too long to get any damage on and then it just blows up far away from your target. It looks neat but it's just a mess. I wish it was more like the bloodletter instead.
Overall great class breakdown and gave me some insight on how to use some of those spells! Looking forward to the unreleased ones!
So, is this class still good if an enemy doesn’t bleed? Does the physical damage scale enough to be viable?
can y6ou do a class breakdown of the dragon cultist?
Unrelated to this specific video, but may I ask why fundamentalist spells arent INT+FTH like in the lore/base game and are only FTH?
Bc there’s already a ton of int/faith stuff and that’d just make it more bloated
@@dots1761Agreed but something could probably be changed in its place that would make more lore sense. Can’t think of anything off the top of my head right now, but I’ll get back to you if I do.
Will there be an update to allow this mod to be played on patch 1.10 ?
so i got some questions:
1. is this mod mainly focused on reworked/new magic spells?
2. what if i start as a pure meele class like the berserker and i level faith? will my faith be "weaker" cause im not supposed to level it?
3. will you add more meele weapons aswell? cause i watch all your class breakdowns and its just magic all the time
I can't speak to the whole mod but I played the beast class where I just did Str and Fth and it was incredibly fun (and strong--I felt like a superhero). I used the starting caestus with ENDURE and it opened up a whole new way of playing where I just tanked hits by timing endure and beating the daylights out of them. Highly recommend
The mod adds caters a lot to magic but its not necessarily focused on it. More melee weapons are added every major patch. This channel focuses on covering spellcaster classes because there's simply more to talk about than with melee classes.
to answer your second question, FTH will only be worth leveling if you have tools that scale with it.
