That's a great looking amp Ramblin man! How much do they cost?
If it only pulls 22 amps you could easily run it in a vehicle?
Why don't watts add up when dealing with amps?
14.7 volts x 22 amps = 323 watts but the amp is actually doing 450 watts. I've noticed that with all amps.
Maybe I'm missing a step in my calculation?

The amp is drawing 323.4 watts from the dc power source not putting out 323.4 watts. That's not the same as RF output power. This is why we use RF wattmeter's to measure the RF power coming out of the amp. You can use a volt/ohm meter and a dummy load to measure the watts coming out of the amp but I don't know the formula you need to use for that off the top of my head.

@@radioactiveamps3961 Ok thanks for clearing that up. And thanks for sharing the beautiful amp.
There are so many knowledgeable people on youtube. Most folks would live and die and never be exposed to the knowledge that's available on youtube.
For instance I've never met a soul my entire life that builds CB or Ham amplifiers until youtube came along.😀

Likewise, I really appreciate his sharing his work & technique plus the technical knowledge.
I have couple old amps I might try looking a bit more closer at now that I've learned a bit more about them from watching R-Man and others.

Would you be able to explain how you have the amp hooked up to do your input and output tuning?
