That's a great looking amp Ramblin man! How much do they cost? If it only pulls 22 amps you could easily run it in a vehicle? Why don't watts add up when dealing with amps? 14.7 volts x 22 amps = 323 watts but the amp is actually doing 450 watts. I've noticed that with all amps. Maybe I'm missing a step in my calculation?
The amp is drawing 323.4 watts from the dc power source not putting out 323.4 watts. That's not the same as RF output power. This is why we use RF wattmeter's to measure the RF power coming out of the amp. You can use a volt/ohm meter and a dummy load to measure the watts coming out of the amp but I don't know the formula you need to use for that off the top of my head.
