Also I think PreSonus really knocked it out of the park making Dolby Atmos so easy for anyone who wants to use it. No extra software and completely integrated into Studio One. Hats off to the developers and the rest of you for doing what you do!
This update is amazing, can't wait to see further things with S1 7. It could be awesome to have headtracking imbedded. Also, Michael Wagner point out some issue with the way the post section of the master track handle the number of channel.
Hi, I have one question. How can I export my project in 5.1 Dolby for Cinema? Or TV Series? I render it but the distributor wrote that's not working? Can u make a video where u explain this please? Thank you very much.
HUGE QUESTION: i notice you can export out multiple styles for dolby....Wav,Binaural,7.1.4 etc...but how does this work when Mastering? On the mastering side if you want those different version mastered?
I've been using this feature for a few weeks, but I do not see the box with speaker placements inside the Renderer. Your description of finding the tutorial was far better than the other video I saw weeks ago, because I never found the tutorial after seeking it for a bit.
Yeah! I giggled half way through this video when he showed that you could monitor Dolby Atmos in your headphones while stereo from your speakers. My DAW just went Michael Jordan on the league. Take my money! Especially because I don't have to buy the extra plug.
I've been interested in binaural since the 70's 😅 Finally the tooling is there so I can make content for it easily. Great stuff. 👍💫 EDIT: And project exchange with my other favourite DAW.. Bitwig to go with it. I'm very happy 🎉
Is there a way to create a macro to switch between binaural and stereo? I assume this is something I can create but I’d like to know that I can do it before I go down that path
@@presonus It is a good thing I asked before diving down that rabbit hole. Hopefully there will be a way to make that happen in an update coming soon ;)
I listening to the demo on my Bose SoundTouch 300 sound bar. It responds to surround sound and what a difference when you played the Dolby Atmos mix. Also I'm watching UA-cam on my Xbox One S. The old one LOL!
Awesome tutorial..Audio sounds great in atmos…Now if we can get get a dynamic sample device to chop samples that’ll be awesome. Ableton, Logic and FL Studio are up on us in that area. Thanks sir!
Very good information. I have a problem since the last studio one update. When i load a waves plugin the track pans slightly to the left, and it is almost impossible to center it again, even removing the waves plugin, the problem persists. i have to delete the track and reload it again. ...so now i can't use the waves plugins .... does this happen to anyone else?
Hi Greg & co. Seems that atmos template has a fixed output mapping that assigns outputs in order ( L,R,LF,C,..and so on ). You can change this order only if you have a 12 channel audio board. In the case of having two audio synchronized interfaces ( 8 + 4 outputs channels ) you cannot see top speakers because of the fixed output assignment that uses StudioOne. Is there any work around or shortcut to see and select those channels ? Thanks
It seems my Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT2 headphones are not compatible for doing 5.1 Dolby Atmos mastering in Studio One 6.5. I would prefer not to purchase a gaming headphone. The ATH-M50xBT2 runs about $199.00, so I would like to stay near that price point. I run Studio One on Windows 11. Any recommendations?
-18 yes but LKFS... not LUFS... that's what the people at Dolby said.. and a lot of you can say "ohhh LUFS and LKFS it's the same"... but not... I did a Dolby Atmos render from S1, then imported to a PT rig with the Dolby tool purchased, measured the LKFS and reads totally different from LUFS... the difference is about 1.5 to 2dB so watch out with this important detail.
@@Monomorphismus follow the tutorial, u automatically see sorround panner associated with each midi track , you will also see sorround panner with fx and bus track also , ofcourse excerpts mono bus or track
The entire video is great, except for one single thing. Dolby Atmos is not only free in Studio One, but also in Cubase and Nuendo. There is no extra charge. So the speaker in this video made a false claim. Please be careful while making such videos, because it tarnishes your brand's value.
Hi, please note that I did not say that the Dolby Atmos Renderer is only included free in Studio One. I only pointed out that in some other DAWs, it has to be purchased separately. -GBY

I've been using Studio One for 2 years now with absolutely zero complaints they just keep getting more amazing
You guys killed it, I mean double monitoring... presonus is dominating 👏

Gregor! Hitting it out of the ball park again! Fab!
Damn, Presonus did the Dolby Atmosphere integration the right way. Studio One already had great respect within the industry, but now it's undeniable.
Good good I think mixing in headphones 🎧 is good enough. 😊❤

We have a 9.1.4. setup. Do you recommend we use the output format 9.1.6?
Amazing video , is it possible to export Dolby mp4 for client referencing from studio one ?
Can you recommend a great set of Dolby Atmos headphones for mixing ?
Is there a way to create a macro to switch between binaural and stereo? I assume this is something I can create but I’d like to know that I can do it before I go down that path
This isn't possible quite yet - but I do love this suggestion. Thanks for sharing this idea. -GBY

Little ignorant here. What about the mastering side of things. Like. Can I export this to the mastering page and render it from the project page ?
i was waiting for for this " amazing "
kudos to presonus team! 👏

impressed by the way you explained , cheers
Thank you very much! Appreciate it. -GBY
How do I mix vocal in Dolby Atmos how do I add reverb compressor delay limiter eq etc vocal processing

What about MP4 and “group” (re-renders) exports?
432hz recording in - Studio one ?
Woooou amazing Studio One , I like Presonus .
Does the binaural mode support head tracking? The native Dolby, Atmos, Ranger or added this feature a while ago.
Unfortunately, PHRTF is still in beta. We will add this functionality when it's ready from Dolby's end. -GBY
great! thanks ... does 6.5 play well with older Mac systems? I'm still running Catalina .... appreciate the info ...
Hi Joe, I'm running Catalina myself on my Studio machine - Works like a charm! -GBY
meant to thank you for response ... updating today@@presonus
Excellent tutorial
Thank you very much, Raymond! -GBY
Finally you show a pair of HD9 in your videos 😂
Hahaha! My most used headphones, for sure :) -GBY
If you change an existing song to Atmos, its not possible to switch back to standard stereo as far as I can see.
Hi, you can set it back to Stereo by selecting "Surround", then set output to "Stereo". Hopefully we can improve on this in the future. -GBY

So Atmos is only possible with audio tracks? Not with midi?
It's midi compatible
