- Opening theme from Sky Channels tv show from the 80's: Fun Factory ! Starring Andy Sheldon, Snoot the Seal and Crocker. This show brought cartoons that became a hit like Transformers, He-man and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. The show aired from 1985 till 1989.
Here in The Netherlands it was showing on Saturday morning and we finally got the best cartoons a kid could wish for, He man, Shera, Bravestar, Inspector gadget etc etc etc. and all a sudden. just out of the blue the screen went to black. There was a legal issue with Sky and it was removed for ever.

Pretty sure Emily came on right after the intro dog!! Transformers was towards the end of the middle I thought!??

Same thing here. I watched those cartoons without speaking a word english when I was 7. At the age of 10 I had whole conversations in english.
Men too. The English I learned from this formed the basis I used on trips to the U.S.

Één zaterdagmorgen....Wat zou ik graag één keertje terug de tijd in gaan om dit weer eens te zien.... Heb deze intro denk ik zo'n 25 jaar niet gezien..... Krijg er gewoon tranen van in mn ogen...

I've had this intro going around in my head since around 1990ish. That's 33 years of hearing "welcome to the fuuuun factory"

Aaand just like that I'm nine years old again, fighting with my little brother over watching either M.A.S.K. or Transformers while mucning on cornflakes and chocolate milk. Thank you so much for digging up this treasure; Fun Factory was our favourite English spoken kids show!

OMG! Dank je wel! Ik zat vroeger elke zaterdag en zondag om 7 uur voor de tv om dit te kijken! Transformers, Jem, He-man, She-ra, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, Inspector Gadget and many more. Super bedankt voor t posten, zo lang geleden dat ik dit intro gezien heb... They don't make cartoons like that anymore, Those were the days! :(

This brings back memories to me. I remember I've send a drawing to sky channel an a few weeks later I received ail from the fun factory. Some cool postcards and stickers :-)

Lekker weer terug in de tijd. Ben bijna 30 en denk nog zeer regelmatig terug aan deze show. Er moet wel iets magisch aan geweest zijn...

I begun to watch FUN FACTORY from september 1986 until june 1987 and the program was the best responsible today I speak english.
I am from Spain, and in that days I enjoyed: Transformers, Heman, MASK, Shera, Gadget and commercials like G.I.Joe, TFs, MOTU, Bravestarr...
I remember Fun Factory, Hosted by Andy Sheldon, and Snoot the Seal, and Crocker the Crocodile, Transformers was my favorite show followed by M.A.S.K.
Saturday mornings in your pyjamas in front of the TV with a big bowel of Corn Flakes,,,ahhh it waas all soo simple then.

I was actually on one of these episodes. Remember they used to do a pop quiz? Well, I was on that. I remember the day of transmission as well, 10/06/89 so one of the final shows.

the fun factory is my childhood I would watch transformers ninja turtles galaxy rangers I would see the jem and the holograms intro but I was big into transformers but I started watching jem
It's a bit difficult to sort what was from Fun Factory and what was from D.J.KAT Show.
I remember Dennis, Inspector Gadget, Mask, Brave Starr, Groovie Ghoulies, Sport Billy, The Pondles and finally The Littles.
It was a hard cut when Sky Europe was taken off in 1991.
Don't forget Trans Formers. It came after My little Pony whitch I had to suffer through...

Yes, I'm convinced. Trans Formers was the only reason I watched Fun Factory.
Was there a version of this with a white background? Some sort of helicopter or crane? Man it’s been like 30 old years!
I think this was an earlier version as the music is slower and is not on a sea base.
I'm building a time machine.... I want to go back , and stay there.
Did you succeed Robbie? I'm also planning to build one. You know I've always wondered if a time-machine would also make you young again and make you forget you were transported through time.. So you would just make the same mistakes all over again and when you finally create this you-tube account it would say your name is already in use...

Yeah! He-man, Inspector gadget, M.A.S.K. , G.I. Joe, Jayce and the wheeled warriors en de g.o.a.t Transformers.....de meeste nederlanders hebben engels geleerd door naar de Transformers te kijken (en de meisjes my little pony) Alle cartoons in die tijd hadden ook allemaal supervette intro's
@Debralee1980 Haha serieus ja, ik wilde dat net nog posten. Volgens mij was de DJ Kat Show zelfs de eerste kabel show die wij ontvingen. Maar dit kwam op Super Channel toch? DJ Kat was nog Sky Channel.

@@BrillBrix they aired it, along with a ton of other American shows like Knightrider, Transformers, Airwolf, TJ Hooker, Cagney and Lacey, etc.
Shit…….we grew up on American TV, hence why it was so appealing to us British kids to wanna move over there.
I am one of the rare ones that got my wish when my family and I immigrated to Florida in 1992. Been here ever since.
