Me too, since I'm not a native english speaker and back in the 80's and 90's Sattelite Dish TV was popular, and one the channels I got was Sky One, I used to see DJ Kat Show before going to school and back then didn't understand english. But I liked seeing TMNT. Later in Portugal, they use a similar format, but was presented by clowns and introduce anime to portuguese audience, besides the typical ones Sailor Moon, DBZ, Pokémon and Saint Seya. images.app.goo.gl/r1F7X7wpR6PSHWHNA Even my niece, when she was young went to show Batatoon, was the name of the show.
Used to watch this before and after school. Super Mario Bros, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the weekdays and X-Men and Power Rangers on the weekends......I'm 37.....ouch.
This was proper entertainment! Non of this reality TV BS! no phones, apps, Facebook, nothing like that. Real TV, The Turtles I absolutely loved and was always something to look forward to.
DJ was the greatest! I loved getting up early before my brother and sisters watching a little "Shoe People"(That was my secret if anyone found out I loved Shoe People I'd be in trouble). then the D.J.Kat show.
I'm from Norway and i used to watch this every day. .......I even sent in a drawing. It was very detailed and i spent 3 days making it, put it never came on the air :'( ^_^

I remember that show that i had the luck to watch it as a kid in greece with many other channels outside of my territory. From that cool cat i first saw many toons for the first time such as the turtles, transformers, the joes and many others and liked it allot. But i remember another intro from the series it wasn't that one but this is nice as well.I believe i am allowed to share some nostalgia with others from your region as well right? ;)
@@morbidsearch So in other countries as well you could watch like we in greece USA channels etc?!🤔 It was the 90s also we lost those as well, they probably figure out that other countries had reception & they did something as i understand!
Could not stand the cat, but the cartoons were great. Transformers, He-man, Jayce and the wheeled warriors, Bravestar, Gadged, Ulysses 31, Silverhawks and GI Joe - gold for a norwegian kid just getting cable. And much better intro to english than any education system can provide. And no US influence - Go Joe :-)
This, ladies and gentlemen is how I learned English 😂
me to :)

Same, back in the 80s. No subtitles, just listen and listen and listen until the words started making sense.
Me too 😂
I remember this and the original sky1 intro. Sky 1 also brought us Star Trek, Cops, WWF, V and that program with Freddie Krugar every Friday night.
Those were the days 🤣🤣
It brought us tons of great shows.
Man you’ve brought me back to those days!
I remember waking up at 6,30 to watch this in my grans . Good times
Used to watch this before and after school. Super Mario Bros, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the weekdays and X-Men and Power Rangers on the weekends......I'm 37.....ouch.

Me too, that's why i doubt this clip was from 1991 as the description says. Should it not be like 1985 or something?
lol I´m 38 and I still remember it fondly
38 here, Sky Channel. Not sure if it was Sky Channel exclusive though.
Loved this back in the late 80s, get home from school and watch, especially at 4:30 when the Turtles would come on.
Yep me too. I think even 6:30am they'd have one too.
Yeah! I used to get in trouble for waking everyone up when I went down to watch Turtles at 6am.
You add me into that routine. Great times.
Me too! Great times. Miss them!
Haha yeah definitely mate, remember this like it was yesterday! Proper kids entertainment and just how it should be! 😎👌

And then Sky figured out how to scramble their signals in 1993. Money is the root of all bullshit
