idk but this scene and when i heard this soundtrack with the horn, it made me feel so accomplished, like everything that had been coming to a head in these games had finally all come together. filled me with hype and excitement but also a bitter sweetness because i knew the game was slowly coming to a close after this.
Same I cried at this when kratos said goodbye to Faye when brok died and at the end when kratos hugged Atreus and when he said son listen closely. This game is a masterpiece and got robbed of goty.
Kratos : I came to these lands to escape my past. To start a new life. I can hide no longer. I do not want this war. We have suffered enough. Prophecy did not lead us here. This scene... obviously just my opinion, but if we could label a perfect cinematic scene in video game history, this one is number one for me. There is never not a moment that I dont get both pumped and emotional at the same time for this.

When I heard that horn, it gave me goosebumps and got me thinking. That's the sound we will all hear in Armageddon. THE FINAL BATTLE BETWEEN GOOD ❤️ AND EVIL 😈! HEAVEN VS HELL!
What I love about this is not only is it powerful but there is a sense of utter tragedy to the music. Yes they're going to war. It is a war that so many of them wish didn't have to happen. That honestly did not need to happen. All because one stubborn being decided that his need for knowledge was more important than all of their lives. All of their happiness. And while kratos understands that he has to do this you can also tell that he is filled with regret because he knows so many are not going to come back
Who else thinks this scene should have shown all the fighting soldiers who were about attack Asgard from all the different realms hearing the horn showing the scenes simultaneously while he blew it 🤷🏾♂️
I don't know about you guys... But with everything happening in today's world... I do believe we are living the beginning of the end... This is Ragnarok!
This is the moment we’ve all waited for. All the Realms have been oppressed under the Aesir’s rule for long enough. And now, the twilight of Asgard is at hand... … the Day of Ragnarök is here!!!
Getting to this part for the First Time gave me Chills instantly cause this part was just as Epic to the Ending of God of War II finally marching to war, and the soundtrack is a Banger
While I do love the sound of Gjallarhorn, I felt like it could have sounded even better. I imagined the sound of Gjallarhorn as a combination of every war horn call ever made. Every triumphant call of victory, every mournful call of defeat, every heroic call to charge into the enemy, every defiant call of the Last Stand. It shouldn’t just be a call, but The Call! The Call that signals The Final Battle for the fate of ALL the Realms!
The way you titled it as “his sound” makes me think Gjallarhorn’s noise differs depending on who blows it. If it was Heimdall, it would have sounded much lower and daunting. But here, Kratos manages to make it sound heroic and unifying.
