I loved this as a kid. My mom used to complain that it "took 45 goddamn minutes to eat a bowl of cereal" I'm eating a bowl right now. Seriously. Just got back from the supermarket. I kept yelling to my wife from the cereal isle "you ever eat a pine tree" wife yelled at me.
I was very young, but remember the Johnny Carson bit.

These were great to eat if someone was yelling at you...totally drowned out the sound of an upset parent, or sibling, lol!

It's not sickeningly sweet as most breakfast cereals.

If you didn't eat it within 2 minutes (teeth breaking notwithstanding) you had a bowl of eeeech.

What if I told you the brand originally was concieved in 1897? The recipe has not been altered since, even with the brief halt in production during the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown.

I'm a friend of ol' Euell Gibbons, and I only eat homegrown spice. I got a John Keats autographed grecian urn filled up with my brown rice.

Stuff tastes like gravel. Hard as a rock and they don’t get soft even after leaving them in milk awhile. No thanks grandpa I don’t want to go to the dentist.

He was a communist but got pissed when Russia invaded Poland. He worked on ships in Hawaii during ww2 and later lived as a beach bum. Sure he ate more than a few pine trees living like Moon Doggie.
