- The dramatic cemetery scene finale at Sad Hill Cemetery from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, was filmed in this mocked up cemetery, near Burgos.
Directed by Sergio Leone and starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach, the original "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" film was produced in 1966, and the cemetery lovingly restored by a group of fans around 2016. A film about the reconstruction of Sad Hill Cemetery, can be seen on Netflix "Sad Hill Unearthed".
The site is well worth visiting, not just for the iconic nature of the location, but also for the stunning countryside and wildlife.

My dream is to go here- my favourite movie. I would watch this with my Father all the time.
Am a huge fan of the film so my dream is to go there for myself
Great video! Visited a few years ago and highly recommend . Thanks Secret Spain
I never went to Sad Hill so let's do this!
It’s bringing back memories!
Whoever put Rian Johnson next to 'Unknown' is a hero.
A most beautiful place.... hmmmm..
..шикарно!!!..круто!..
As a child I always thought that what happened in movies, happened in real life at some point so I probably would've thought that Angel Eyes' Body/Skeleton would still be there😂
Nice edit!
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it.
Wow looks like they've kept it looking the same all these years- was wondering if this is a real cemetery or just a staged one for the movie?
ha ha i love it but we missed it when we where in Spain 2019 of october
Thanks for the comment Dave. It is a shame you missed the site, but perhaps one for a future trip.
