I imagine Clint Eastwood sending a video message to those who had the good idea of unearth sad Hill cemetery ,sayng :"there are two kind of people at this world ,my friends , who has a place in history of cinema playing in films like the good the bad and the ugly , and who digs ,You dig .
e con cinquantasette pale fate prima
xD
i will happily obey HIS orders
He did send a message
God did arrive. What a great moment.
To the men/women who unearthed this magnificent set...I salute you.
When Eastwood show up on the screen i've almost tear up. My son didnt understant wht happened to me..he just wonder 'dad whats wrong' i said nothing, just something in my eye
Even though no one was actually ever buried there, it may still be the most famous cemetery on Earth.
Next to Calvary/Golgatha in Israel (and the tomb of Jesus Christ) I'd say you have a noteworthy point--most famous cemetery where nobody is buried. Of actual cemeteries though, Arlington National Cemetery and the cemeteries in France with all the heroes who died at Normandy and liberating Europe in WW2--I'd say they also rank above Sad Hill. Boot Hill in Tombstone, Arizona deserves honorable mention.
If You could invite Clint Eastwood Now whom is Still alive to come to the Sad Hill Place Sementary which place is a Leagend...to Live Again the big Moments with one the Best movies " The Good The Bad and The Ugly"
Well, someone would insist that Clint wear the famous poncho and hat and, at his age, it just would not look right.
One of the best movies ever made. My favorite Western by far.
This made me tear up. The emotional essence of that movie remains in those who can appreciate and see the sheer beauty in all its aspects: shots, music, acting. This is a beautiful thing and I can't wait to see the documentary
Thank you! People like you is what drove us to tell this story in the first place. You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, etc. to be updated about the release of the doc.
Taking a dump, also makes me tear up, especially after eating Taco Bell. Get over it.

There are two kinds of people in the world my friend. The one with a gun and the one who digs. You dig...
Arch Stanton liked this documentary so much he even gave it a standing ovation
I really feel Ely and van Cleese deserve their own silhouette at the cemetery even more so than Eastwood. Ely was the heart of that film and the cemetery scene and he seemed almost missing in this documentary.
Eli Wallach was a late comer in the trilogy. Clint was there with Sergio from the beginning. Lee Van Cleef was bigger than Wallach in the trilogy. The bigger picture changes most peoples' perspective about this
@@Ragnar06 Nah. Wallach's character development was brilliant. Clint played it as anyone playing the proverbial anti-hero - which is cool - but Ely is a superior character actor and his work in GBU reflected his range. The Sad Hill scene is from GBU exclusively. Not sure of the relevance of other movies & who came first in the trilogy in determining how he made GBU what it is.
Your spelling of these wonderful actor's names is embarrassing.
Some day I'll make this pilgrimage ,someday ...
I watch this movie since i was a kid, 2 to 3 times a year and everytime i watch it i have the same Feeling as if i am watching it for the very first time!
Bienvenido, Amigo!
This is the all time classic Thanks for the volunteers for bringing it back to LIFE
Imagine Clint Eastwood revisiting this place❤️😍❤️
I have a feeling that Clint has been back there
Best film ever made.
sergio leone.. only masterpiece that they echoes in the eternity
Just saw this on Netflix. Very emotional, absolutely awesome.
This is my favorite movie and I was tearing up for half of this documentary. I loved it, I wish I could have been there so bad to help
At 12 yrs old, i saw this movie when it first came out at the drive-in, in 1968. it is a part of my life, thank you for restoring the cemetery and for this short film.
Just watch the movie for the first time as an adult today and oh my God what a phenomenal movie. I don't even want to explain the plot at all because you don't deserve to hear it you just need to watch it. Not to mention the plot is one thing but it's the execution of the plot within the actors that makes this movie so phenomenal.
"Two can dig faster than one" Give me the name Blondie. ( Your all alone in this world just like me.) When did ya unload it?
Unkkkkk.
Unkkkkk.
Hey there ain't no name on there!
THE GREAT lee van cleef needs to be relocated to Burgos spain
Right next to arch Stanton

ELI’S COMING
I keep waiting for the Science Channel. What on Earth 🌎 to have a satellite 🛰 fly over Burgos Spain 🇪🇸 and see what Sad Hill looks like from outer space 🪐
Everything Sergio Leone touched was larger than life my guess is he would have loved to see Sad Hill from outer space
Clint would have to come back to these places, in the media, it would be a complete hit
A wonderful documentary, well done and very exciting, which honors the great Sergio. Thank you guys. Greetings from Italy.
I've been there twice, three years ago and last year, and they did quite a job restoring the cemetery, though there's a lot more that could be done.
Now... when can we see the documentary? where?
Netflix, of course
@@Ragnar06 thank you for answering. I've already watched it. It wasn't that bad at all.
I've looked for the 50th Anniversary T-shirts and can't find them for sale. Depressing. I want one. If I could just get the print image, I'd get my own printed....on a vented shirt. Heck, I'd even have it embroidered on the chest or the back panel. Thanks to the team that put out so much work to revive that location. Much gratitude and respect. I wish I could have been a part of it.
And to think that Sad Hill is like just a few kilometers away from my village haha
Clint with his ironic remark, lmao. The best.
Clint Eastwood are the reason why i bought the game Red Dead Redemptions 2, even though it is just a game i want to live as a Western Bounty Hunter once in my life. And yeah I'm asian I love all Western movies especially by Clint Eastwood.
Angel Eyes: i dont see you digging.
So much said without words is a very profound statement about this movie. I guess that most people got the same thought that I did when you get your first good glance at Sad Hill and that is "What A Damn Shame". Sergio Leone, legend, R.I.P.
ARCH ARCH STANTON are you sure. SURE I’M SURE
If you study the movie, you will see typical civilian grave monuments just outside the circle. There is also a crypt or similar building where Sentenza’s horse is tied. This was meant to be a civilian cemetery that exploded with war dead. Nothing like it before or since.
Oh my God, my childhood is back :')
Rip ennio morricone sir
In 2019, I visited Ukraine and I had the privilege to visit the filming location of Sergei Parajanov's "Shadows of our Forgotten Ancestors" at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains.
It was indeed a pilgrimage. Someday, I would love to visit this cemetery as well.
How is this movie not on Blu-Ray/4K disc?
Lost count how many times I've seen the film since I was young. Enjoyed the documentary guys will watch it again. No as many times as the film though ha.
YAAAAAAAHHHHH this is amazing !!!
Will visit Spain just to go there
As they say all the world is a stage. Or a possible filming location for actors to play their parts in.
Clint at the end!!!
Original made it evergreen, last forever.. that why old films are better than today films because they are the first that do it.
👨💻The documentaries & films u find By Accident 🤪 looking for that other movie👉🎞 is a pilgrimage on a diff level ☕🕺
Never stops to amazing me the clips you find This is another 👍🍿🍿🍿 💃next
the bit about every scene in the movie being picturesque also works with Lawrence of Arabia.
Wow 😢😢😢😢
in america they are still study this film but the still dont understand how was possible to realise this masterpiece.... sergio leone rulez forever.
Don't forget Ennio Morricone.

Ciao sono italiano
I loved this movie ❤Frm Kerala India
I ordered this on bluray a few days ago from Amazon Spain. I can't wait for it to arrive within the next few weeks. Importing other region coded movies from other countries is why I've owned code free players for over 15 years now.
Unpopular opinion alert: I think they should have left the cemetary alone, maybe add a small indication that this is the place and leave it at that, instead of turning it into another big tourist attraction with 3.5 billion visitors per year.
Thats not the case. You have not to pay to visit Sad Hill. And regulary its empty. Its in far from everywhere. The access is difficult. so you cant say this is a big tourist attraction. Its made from love yo the film, not to make money.
I would love to have the 50th Anniversary T shirt you guys are wearing. Where could I order this? PLEASE HELP.
Just WOW this is a fantastic documentary. I love everything about it !
Is this still available on Netflix? Anywhere else?
nice place
beatifull place
can someone say whats is the whistle song from the beginning... its so .... its so...
It is called Western Whistle Sorrow by The Muse Maker. You can find it in Audiojungle.
Zapruder Pictures thank you for the answer!!!
Can't someone sponsor me to visit sad hill? Please! I'll never tired of watching this movie
Damn guys, just as I was ready to hit that "Unsubscribe" button.
I was starting to lose my faith......
Welcome back.
It's been a long way... Hope the result is worth the wait. :)
mrnicehearted I almost did the same thing a month ago but I said wait something might come
Haha I'm glad you guys waited!
Still something goes good in this mad world.
I want to go there one day. I guess you have to fly into Bilbao(?) Spain then drive the rest of the way?
amazing...made me cry :')
Wow, just wow...I have to go there...so emotional.
Ik ga morgen met mijn dochter er heen
The true director of this film was not Sergio Leone, it was Ennio Morricone. Sergio directed the actors, but Ennio directed the audience. He can pick you up, he can drop you, he can raise you from your seat, he can sit you back down again at will.
Over 50 years since I first saw this film Mr Morricone directed me to travel from Scotland to the O2 in London to see him.
I'm not trying to take away the talent or ability of any of the actors or Mr Leone, but if any other composer on earth had scored the music for these films then you would be restoring nothing and cows would still be grazing there.
But it was Leone that knew Morricone was the right guy for the job. It was him that wanted the music to be composed before the movie (at that time usually the music was composed during the editing) and even wanted it to be played during the scenes, so that the actors could be perfectly synchronized with it.
Now if they could only rebuild the hanging arch used in Once Upon A time in the West in Mexican Hat,Utah, Almost nothing of it left. I hot a piece of rock used in its building on display at home.
Somewhat ironic dontcha think? "Why don't they rebuild it?" followed by "I stole a piece of the original" ;)
Will this be coming out on DVD or Blu-Ray?
1:42 he says 1000 years not 3000 as sub reports...
Is this netflix exklusiv?
Brilliant 👍
FANTASTIC

Sacred?
Wow ... that's tragic and profoundly telling.
Yep. Religion is just another view of the universe. Sacredness can come in many forms.
How do I watch this documentary?
Netflix. Sad Hill unearthed. Zapruder Production.

nice !
I'm just gutted to learn Metallica refused to play a gig there.
How do you know this? If it's true that is so sad, and would of been one hell of a gig!!!
Dude, the place would be totally destroyed after a Metallica concert. Clever decission by Metallica. I don't know if you have seen the film, but the people of the association don't want the place to be overcrowed. The point here is to preserve the place for true films enthusiast.
@@Radetube Good point Rade. Perhaps they could have done something a little more low key thought like an acoustic set to the workers and volunteers in the next field. I'm quite a weary and sceptical person by nature, but I suspect there were other reasons at play as to why Metallica refused the invite. That said, I haven't seen the film yet, so will admit my suspicions are groundless.
