      Everyone needs more than their salary to be financial stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, because money left for saving always end up used with no returns.

    Nothing is free in Nigeria too...we pay taxes, we pay for electricity...I'm in band A so I pay a lot for light....they do not give us water so I buy water....we pay for healthcare, transport and everything.... nothing is free here in Nigeria

    • @iamdouglaseze
      @iamdouglaseze  День тому +3

      You're absolutely right, Gabriel. Life in Nigeria comes with its own unique set of challenges, and the cost of basic necessities like electricity, water, and healthcare can be overwhelming. It’s a reality many people face daily, and it shows the resilience and determination of Nigerians to keep moving forward despite these obstacles.
      If there’s anything specific you’re looking to discuss-whether it’s about creating opportunities, managing costs, or building a better financial future-feel free to share. Conversations like these help us all grow and find ways to navigate tough systems.

      How many Nigerians pay tax except you're a civil servant or work in corporate places

    • @globalcliquehub3181
      @globalcliquehub3181 День тому

      We pay the taxes via our self generation of electricity, water, healthcare, security, education, etc. In America everything has been provided by the government, and you must pay the tax to keep that infrastructure going. Also, the purchasing power parity -ppp of Nigeria is different from that of America. Both societies come with pros and cons, we buy most things cash and carry in Nigeria.@@osimosundolapo5418

    Well, I’m still in Africa waiting for my priority date for eb-3 green card to come as a Nurse. I have been trying to search about the US financial system, culture etc,, I don’t know nobody there and I’m excited to have found you, wish to connect and learn more.

    • @iamdouglaseze
      @iamdouglaseze  21 годину тому +1

      Thank you, Veezy! I’m so glad you found my channel, and I truly appreciate your support. It’s exciting that you’re preparing to come to the U.S. as a nurse-your profession is highly valued here, and you’re already on the right track by researching the financial system and culture ahead of time.
      Here are a few tips as you prepare for your transition:
      1. **Learn About the U.S. Financial System**:
      - Understand how credit works, as it’s critical in the U.S. for things like renting apartments, buying a car, and more.
      - Open a bank account as soon as you arrive, and look into building your credit score responsibly.
      2. **Get Familiar with U.S. Work Culture**:
      - Nursing is a respected field, and the healthcare system here can be different. Be open to learning and adapting.
      - Build relationships with colleagues and look into mentorship opportunities within your field.
      3. **Connect with Communities**:
      - Many African communities and professional organizations in the U.S. are eager to support newcomers. Look for groups specific to nurses or African immigrants in your area.
      4. **Plan for Financial Growth**:
      - Start learning about wealth-building tools like cash-value life insurance, retirement accounts, and smart investing strategies.
      I’d love to help you as you prepare for this journey. Join my **Creating Generational Wealth Challenge** at **creatinggenerationalwealthchallenge.com** for valuable insights on navigating the U.S. financial system and building long-term wealth. You’re taking a great step already, and I’m excited for what’s ahead for you! Feel free to stay connected!

    My brother Eze thanks. I wanted to know if IUL is real or a scam, someone had told me about it. God bless you more Sir.

    • @iamdouglaseze
      @iamdouglaseze  21 годину тому +2

      Thank you, Ifeanyi! I appreciate your question and am glad you’re seeking clarification. Let me assure you that Indexed Universal Life Insurance (IUL) is very real and not a scam. However, like any financial product, it’s essential to understand how it works to determine if it’s right for your needs.
      Here’s a quick breakdown of IUL:
      ### What is an IUL?
      An **Indexed Universal Life Insurance** policy is a type of permanent life insurance that combines:
      1. **Life Insurance Protection**: Provides a death benefit to your beneficiaries.
      2. **Cash Value Growth**: Builds cash value over time, which grows based on the performance of a stock market index (e.g., S&P 500) but with protection against market losses.
      ### Key Benefits of IUL:
      Tax Advantages: The cash value grows tax-deferred, and you can access it tax-free through loans or withdrawals.
      - **Downside Protection**: Your cash value won’t decrease if the market performs poorly because of a built-in floor (typically 0% or 1%).
      Upside Potential: Your cash value can grow based on market index performance up to a cap (e.g., 10%- 12%).
      ### Things to Keep in Mind:
      1. **Long-Term Commitment**: IULs are designed for long-term goals like retirement planning or building generational wealth. They’re not a quick investment scheme.
      2. **Fees**: As with any insurance policy, there are costs (e.g., insurance charges, administrative fees). Please ensure you work with a skilled professional who can help you fully understand the policy.
      3. **Customization**: IULs can be tailored to meet your specific financial goals but must be set up correctly.
      ### Final Thoughts:
      An IUL can be an excellent tool for building wealth and protecting loved ones, but it’s not for everyone. Working with a reputable agent who can explain the details clearly and align the product with your goals is essential.
      To learn more and explore how an IUL might work for you, visit **largofinancialservices.com** and schedule a consultation. We’re here to help you make informed decisions about your financial future. God bless you, my brother!

    Thank you, Mr. Douglas Eze. I appreciate your valuable insights and guidance. I'm a new subscriber to your You tube channel. As a medical laboratory scientist practing in Nigeria with USA Tourism visa, what is the best way to come in and work in America?

    • @iamdouglaseze
      @iamdouglaseze  20 годин тому +2

      Thank you for your kind words, Immaculeta, and welcome to the channel! I truly appreciate your support. As a medical laboratory scientist with a U.S. tourism visa, transitioning to work in America requires careful planning. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you:
      ---
      ### 1. **Understand Visa Options for Working in the U.S.**
      - **H-1B Visa**: This is a common work visa for skilled professionals. However, you’ll need a U.S. employer to sponsor you.
      - **Green Card Pathways**: If you qualify, an EB-2 or EB-3 visa may be an option for professionals with specialized skills.
      - **TN Visa**: If you’re eligible through other means (e.g., dual citizenship in a TN-eligible country like Canada or Mexico), this could be an alternative.
      ---
      ### 2. **Credential Evaluation**
      - Have your Nigerian qualifications evaluated for U.S. equivalency. Agencies like **CGFNS** (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) or **WES** (World Education Services) can assist with this.
      - Ensure your medical laboratory science certifications meet U.S. standards, as some states require specific licenses or certifications.
      ---
      ### 3. **Find Employment in the U.S.**
      - Research U.S. healthcare facilities or labs actively hiring international professionals.
      - Apply to employers willing to sponsor a work visa. Networking on LinkedIn or reaching out to staffing agencies specializing in international healthcare recruitment can help.
      ---
      ### 4. **Explore Long-Term Pathways**
      - If you’re already in the U.S. on a tourist visa, transitioning to a work visa requires legal steps. Consult with an immigration attorney to explore your options and avoid overstaying your visa.
      ---
      ### 5. **Gain Experience or Certification**
      - If needed, consider taking additional certifications or exams required in the U.S. for medical laboratory scientists. For instance, the **ASCP** (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification is often required for this field.
      ---
      ### My Advice
      Take time to plan your transition carefully, as U.S. immigration laws are strict. Connect with recruiters, build a strong LinkedIn profile, and seek advice from immigration professionals to avoid potential challenges.
      Feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn (**Douglas Eze**) for further guidance. Wishing you the very best in achieving your goals! God bless.

      @iamdouglaseze  21 годину тому +2

      Thank you so much for your kind words, Tawa! It’s inspiring to hear about your passion for Naija foods-turning that passion into a business is such a fantastic idea! Nigerian cuisine is unique and has a growing market abroad, especially among Nigerians in the diaspora and people interested in authentic African foods.
      Here are a few tips to help you get started:
      1. **Start Small and Build Gradually:** Begin by catering for small gatherings, community events, or even selling from home. Word-of-mouth is powerful, especially in the Nigerian community.
      2. **Leverage Social Media:** Showcase your dishes on platforms like Instagram or Facebook. Beautiful pictures and videos of your food can attract a lot of attention.
      3. **Target Your Audience:** Focus on Nigerians in your area, but also educate others about the richness of our cuisine. Offer tasting events or small samplers to introduce people to Naija foods.
      4. **Get Proper Licensing:** Check your local health and business regulations to ensure you have the right permits to operate your food business.
      5. **Explore Unique Offerings:** Consider offering meal prep services, delivery options, or even packaged food items like suya spices, jollof rice kits, or chin chin.
      6. **Stay Consistent:** Good taste and consistent quality will keep your customers coming back.
      Also, I’d like to invite you to join my upcoming **Creating Generational Wealth Challenge** to help you learn strategies that can support your business and financial goals. It’s in the description, or you can click this link to register: **creatinggenerationalwealthchallenge.com**.

    I studied environmental management, and would love to continue in that part, what's your advice if I wanna come for my master's degree in that direction in the USA?

    • @iamdouglaseze
      @iamdouglaseze  21 годину тому

      That’s a great career path, Ogbolu! Environmental management is a critical and growing field, especially in the U.S., where sustainability and environmental conservation are increasingly prioritized. Here’s my advice if you’re planning to pursue a master’s degree in this direction:
      ### 1. **Research Universities and Programs**
      - Look for schools that have strong environmental management or sustainability programs. Some of the top universities for this field in the U.S. include:
      - **Yale School of the Environment**
      - **University of Michigan - School for Environment and Sustainability**
      - **Stanford University**
      - **University of California, Berkeley**
      - Many universities offer specialized tracks like climate policy, environmental technology, or natural resource management. Choose one that aligns with your interests.
      ### 2. **Understand Admission Requirements**
      - Most programs will require:
      - A strong undergraduate GPA.
      - GRE/TOEFL/IELTS scores (depending on the program).
      - Letters of recommendation.
      - A well-written personal statement explaining your goals and why you’re passionate about environmental management.
      ### 3. **Consider Funding Options**
      - Look into scholarships, fellowships, and assistantship opportunities. Many universities offer funding for international students, particularly in environmental fields.
      - Explore external organizations or government-funded scholarships in both your home country and the U.S.
      ### 4. **Leverage Networking**
      - Reach out to alumni from the programs you’re considering. Many universities have LinkedIn groups where you can connect with graduates.
      - Attend webinars or conferences related to environmental management to build connections and learn more about the field.
      ### 5. **Prepare for a Career Post-Graduation**
      - Environmental management has diverse job opportunities in consulting firms, government agencies, non-profits, and corporations.
      - Focus on gaining hands-on experience through internships or research assistantships during your master’s program.
      ### 6. **Plan Your Visa and Relocation**
      - Once admitted, apply for an F-1 student visa and make plans for your relocation, including housing and health insurance.
      If you need more guidance, feel free to reach out! You can also join my **Creating Generational Wealth Challenge** at **creatinggenerationalwealthchallenge.com** to gain insights into managing finances and opportunities while pursuing your goals in the U.S. Wishing you much success on this exciting journey!
